Exodus Cheese Organic Grow

Approximately 4.5 weeks from seed, started under a 100w led so under sized, just switched to HPS 18 hours a day, really taking off now. Reusing old compost amended with composted farmyard manure & chicken manure pellets, plus fish blood and bone. Wood chip mulch and a little rice thrown on top, fungi was visible on the rice in days. Just added 2.5 g of chicken manure and 2.5 g of FBB in preparation for growth spurt as slow release.

so it is exodus pheno...I have yet to see one of the seeds be anything close to the mom.

P.S. weed doesn;t like woodchips.

By 'Mom' I assume you meant the seeds you grew didn't come close to the smoke of an original cutting? Tell you what I will verify your findings at the end of this grow, and will base future decisions regarding this strain on the results. I just so happen to live in the Luton area where the Exodus Cheese strain originated from. I have friends who have been growing it for well over a decade (because it is hands down the best weed around). I've not grown it before but can go get an original cutting at any time. I've been smoking it on and off for years so I'll know if seeds are worth bothering with or not. If you are right, I'll switch to original cuttings next time. I opted to grow from seed simply because I want my plant count kept to the minimum. When they are finished I'll take a sample along for comparison. - As far as weed not liking wood chips, perhaps you could expand on that, I think I would need some strong evidence to be convinced, have you not heard of back to Eden gardening? I do know not to mix wood chips in deep with soil as bacteria can 'initially' consume all the nitrogen trying to break it down and effect your plants. I'm using it primarily to shield the soil from excessive heat as my tent is very small.

yEp, I got the Luton cut... such an awesome plant, one I don't intend losing any time soon

I've grown weed with wood chips before, so it is possible but have been informed by a few people that it's not an ideal combo

Curious- What does the rice on top do? Still learning a lot of the tips and tricks....havnt heard this one yet, and I have plenty of rice.

It was an experiment, I was looking into living soil amendments and it was on the list so I threw some on top as it was too late to mix in, and within days each grain was covered in fungi, so I assume that is in some way transformed into beneficial nutrients.

Day 35 from seed, still in veg: I must have done something right amending the old compost I've used as these plants look flawless, it has a mixture of Farmyard manure, chicken manure pellets and Fish Blood & Bone plus the old plant left overs were recycled.

6 weeks from seed: I put these three Exodus cheese plants into flower this week, bottom branches were used for cuttings which went straight into compost, no hormones, they have all perked up so looking good. My tent isn't very tall so am probably looking to use the shortest plant depending on bud quality. My last grow was ruined by heat/height issues so am experimenting at keeping them short and bushy. One of the plants looks like its going to be taller, it has much larger branch spacing and the largest fan leaves are a little smaller. All three plants have been topped and were put into flower at 9,10 and 12 inches. The shortest was trimmed to four nodes, the other two at the 5th node. The tallest one grew 4 inches in 48 hrs even though it had just been topped.

Best cheese from seed closest to exodus I’ve ever grew was Birmingham seed centers exodus cheese
Good look with the grow I’ve just popped a cheese seed as ent seen no good cheese about for a few years now thers cheese but not cheeeeeeese if ya get me

Week 7 from seed, week 1 flower. Plants look very healthy indeed, no need to feed for a few weeks so rain water only. Wood chips do seem to be keeping moisture in. One plant is much taller, current heights are 14", 17" & 23". day49.JPG day-49.JPG day--49.JPG

I took some cuttings and placed them straight into used compost and watered them, most are two weeks old. They spend night time in a flowering tent for 12 hrs and the rest of the day on a window sill. Out of 8 cuttings it looks like 5 are healthy and rooted.

Really, I’ve read as long as it’s not walnut or cedar you’re good. Why cannabis don’t like wood chips/ wood mulch?

I'm also growing this beautiful Lemon Auto, it is outside during the day. It's 9.5 weeks old but I had to slow it down so the others could catch up in size. Lower fan leaves are wind damaged, it was pristine until two days ago when heavy wind gave it a thrashing.

No, maybe we got crossed lines, my cuttings are in small pots, my flowering plants are in 11 litre buckets with holes drill in the bottom..
