Expected yield? Anyone grown 'feminised seeds' critical'?

Hi guys! This is my first post so be nice;)

Ive just started out on my first grow! Im using feminised auto 'critical' seeds and its coming along nicely under 1x65w 6500k cfl and 1x 65w 2700k cfl in a box lined with tin foil with a pc exhaust fan. Im using a20-20-20 fert and a 20-4 light cycle.

My question is what kind of yield can i expect from this set up?

welcome.
once you get to the flowering stage youll want to switch to 12/12 lighting. also if your using only CFL expect around an OZ to and oz and a half only.. somewhere aroud there.

Or you might not end up with anything if you fry your plant from that tin foil :P You should post a pic sounds like a interesting setup. I've found that foam board with black poster board on the back reflects nicely and is light tight (if your looking for something cheap) if that's not a issue look into Mylar.

The tin foil is not gong reflect enough light from 65w bulbs to burn your plants.
I doubt very seriously you are going to pull an oz off one of those. I would say about half that.

Heres a picture of the setup, its only temporary, im trying to find a wider box as obviously this ones a bit too narrow.

Should I take down the foil then? I know it can make hot spots on the plant but I move it around regularly to try and prevent that?

What could I do to improve yield? I have about £40 I could spend on more lighting or something if its gonna help.

Morron if you have a dollar store in your area go there and look for poster/foam boards. Seriously. You'll be a happy camper

More wattage = more yield but it also = more heat. Having more bud sites from topping = more yield. Bending the top down closer to the lower shoots allows you to put the light closer the lower stuff. Having a larger grow area = more yield. Like fish plants grow larger in larger areas. (not as much but its true) fresh air = more yield. keeping the root temps 10° cooler then the canopy shortens inter node spacing = more tops under the light.

That oughta keep ya busy.

Are the foam boards reflective then? Ive got a confined space lined up to use after its too big for the box. Its an area behind my desk, its about 40 x 40 cm and about 120cm tall. Its got the wall on two sides, my wardrobe and the back of my desk on the other two. The top of my desk covers half of it at the top and theres about a 20x20 gap at floor level under the back of my desk so I think it should be good for just one plant.

I'm on the third hole at pebble beach, par four. I'll be using a five iron the whole time. How many strokes will it take me to sink the ball? Get rid of the tinfoil. Give it plenty of light and plenty of air. Dont use that fertilizer for long or you are likely to hurt your plant(s). READ. Check the ph of your soil run off. If you got 40p, get a liquid drop ph tester like they use for pools. Get some reflective material, get a fan, get a better fert.

Cheers for the replies guys, I've already got a 12cm pc fan for the box and a 16inch desk fan for ventilating the room. I'll invest in some reflective material and get another bulb or two on it;)

I thought of something, make a yeast/sugar co2 emitter and put it in the box with your plant. Its sure to have some results

As cruzer said, look in to maybe topping your plants(depending on how far along you are), and check out LST (low stress training), theres tons of threads on here about this shit and can help improve yield in small spaces. also you might wanna look in to more light.

Hi there, I have attempted to top the plant today, it'll be a few days before I can tell if its worked out not.

As for more light, ive got 2 more 65w (both 2700k) cfls coming soon. I think 240w of cfl is enough for 1 plant? I also got a sheet of mylar for my grow space so it should be nice and reflective.

I've found someone else growing the same strain too and results look promising:D

Lol from what i read so far in this thread its good to 12/12 Auto's and Top them? K let me give u sum advice, Auto plants dont rely on the light for budding they rely on age. Thats why theyre called autoflowering, its best to keep them 20/4 or 24/0 because any lower can decrease ur yield by alot. and do not top auto plants, since they are alot quicker than photos they wont handle it very well. sure you will yield but nothing like what u wanted. Heck the only way most ppl work with autos is to lst her, like once she gets bushy u tie her branches around and make it so the whole plant gets light evenly. Also when it does come down to light its always best to flower with HPS Growlight, since u are only growing one plant a 150 watt grow light would be fine.

Cheers for the reply. I've attempted to top the plant already so your too late;)

I wasnt planning on going to 12/12, ive read its best to keep 20/4 all the way through the grow. I've drawn up a design for a new grow space in my closet, gonna have 4x 45watt 2700k bulbs around the sides of the plant and 1x85w 2700k + 1x65w 6500k bulb dangling at the top. I'll get some pics up when its done.
