expected yields

this is the first time i have a decent looking crop. Up until now i was only getting about 1/2 oz. per plant. Now it will be more just by looking at it. When using mostly organics, in a full 2 gallon pot with good seed, what kind of yield should i be getting to consider it a "successful crop":wall:
 
Disappointment comes from expectation. I hope all goes well and you get 5 lbs off each plant - but don't count your chickens til they hatch. "It's not over til the flatulent lady sings" (TM).
 
that depends on your lighting, the nutrients you use, how you train your plant if you train at all.

There are so many variables that no one can answer you with any accuracy. I know some growers that never get more than a half ounce and others that can harvest a half pound( or damn close) off of one plant.

Genetics definatly play a role in the ammount you harvest but environment is just as important if not more important a factor.

I'm hoping to get 160g off my plant which will provide medication until my next harvest, anything above that and i'm giddy. My first harvest was a half ounce, my second was 3 ounces and i'm hoping for the mother load of sweet Blue Mystic for this harvest since I LST'd the hell out of the plant.

What?? 5 lbs.? I'm using a 400 watt HID and my plants max at 3'

And yes, this is the first time I "didn't expect much of anything" and they're the fattest ones since I started using HID.

If you're happy with it, then consider it successful. If you're disappointed, then consider it a failure.

To give an estimate of your expected yield, you'd need to tell us how much light you're using.

EDIT - okay, 400W, all other things good you could hope for 1/2 to 1 g per watt, i.e. 7 oz+

I'm not growing 24 plants or anything. If you or potpimp can tell me how to get 5-6 lbs. out of 6-8 indoor plants I would just thank you thank you thank you. But for 6 lbs. wouldn't i need like 20 plants or something.

I wish i could grow outside

400 watt HID and my ballast has a "10% boost setting". MH for veg and HPS for flower
 
I hate to do this because your seeking a specific answer but you've already gotten 2 of the best answers anyone on earth can give you.

#1- No one can give you an answer with any accuracy.
#2- .5-1g per watt of lighting

The first is the reality, the second is what excellent producers can get from a plant.
