wow thanks everyone!!! i have uploaded the four parts i have to make my grow box. We ve been purchasing and upgrading thanks to your advice :D but now we ve come to a point where we know the grow box really defines the growth and quality of the plants. therefore, before making any rushed mistakes, we decided to show you all what we ve got before we even start ;-) we should finish it by this weekend i guess cuz the plants look like they wont fit anymore.

so based on the current grow box of which you ve seen the pictures, how would you set it up?
PS: the bulbs we have are 2 ecolight actual 60 watt equivalent to 300 and 2 25 actual watt. 60 watt is the MOST that is sold in ARgentina. Would i fuck up by mixing those lamps with my previous mixed mercury vapor lamp ? gracias,
el grow box del cartonero:weed::weed:

i good rule of thumb for flowing plants with cfls's is 150 watt per square foot. get the ones with bluish light for vegging 5000k+(simulate bright summer days) and ones with reddish light for flowering 2000-3000k(simulate the sun in fall and winter) than u will be good=)

thx for the advice! yah the ones we have right now are bluish so that is perfect. now we are thinkning about haning the mixed mercury in there as well. it is winter in Argie, and since we put that bulb they have really grown lots of leafs. how could that possible be wrong?
should i mix the 4 CFLs with the mercury? i m guessing that ought to give the right amount of both light and heat, right?

Of all the plants i have ever planted this is the very first one i ve seen looking like this. it seems like a deformed marihuana plant, yet it is growing with a lot of strength. the middle part grew in just TWO DAYS!!!

from the first pic to the second pic, just 7 DAYS! we switched back to mixed mercury vapor and it gave them the height they need for our winter season here.
and from pic 3 to pic 4 ONLY 24 Hours!

i m pretty shocked myself. its pretty neat seeing them together like that huh? oh by the way, can ANYONE tell what kind they are? indic perhaps?
we got the seeds mixed up when germinated and now we dont know which is which. (we had some old skunk seeds from peru and some from argentina)
I APPRECIATE IT!:joint:

They're probaby a hybrid heavy on indica. If I remember correctly, Skunk is a pure or near-pure indica, so if you mean Skunk the strain - not just skunky bud - that would make sense. I'll take a closer look and maybe give you some tips later. At the moment I'm just killing time in the fucking airport ...

As for the mutant plants, I have had this happen to seedlings in grows where the remainder of the seedlings were treated the same and did not show these characteristics. If you see this sort of leaf behavior in larger plants or clones, however, this suggests some sort of stress, such as light, nutrients, or transplant. The same thing goes for clones or mid-sized plants that revert in leaf number, say from 7-points to 5, 3, or even 1.

Your fine with the 400w HPS. The blue spectrum of MH/T5/CFL is better for plant growth, but those lights don't penetrate the lower parts of the plants like a HPS will. Just make sure you don't burn the plants or have the light too high and have them stretch too much.

excellent!bongsmilie we ve just set up our second grow box. we could have a third on the way that is 2m by1.5 m by 1m, but i dont know it seems huge for an apartment and a bit scary, if you know what i mean. but i guess the plants will outgrow this box soon? is the light set up at the right distance now? i measured 40 cm; it sure heats up the whole apartment!

thanks i hope i can make the right choice.... :?
