Stinky fries an off the menu item at the gastropub we frequent. I'll have to get a picture next time I go. Essentially they use the lobster mac and cheese cheese sauce, raw garlic, and some green stuff to pretty it up. Oh so good.

there is a "french" place close by that sells pomme frites for $8.50 , by pomme frites they mean the same frozen convenience product used by fast food chains.

technically they are fried potatoes but the $8.50 price and the word pomme frite esp in a french-ish place is super misleading. I call it a lie!

Pomme frite puts the idea of crisp, well flavored, hot and light taters into my taste imagination. Not generic fodder, plate filler.
