Hey, I have a cupboard that is 1800mm high, 600mm depth, 1200 wide. What size extractor fan would I need or make? I only have 1 plant in there and 1 fan.

I have 4 fluro bulbs that are Phillips lifemax 18w/850, max temp I've had in there is high 30s degrees Celsius on a real hot day

My fan is also a 14inch desk fan, im on a limited budget and using free beans I got in a bag of smoke to test before my real beans get here, have a female in the cabinet 2nd week into flower on 12/12 light. It's about half a metre high, would include a pic but use my iPhone for the net as don't own a laptop

You have one plant that's half a meter high?

Your light is seriously under powered for that one plant.

4x18w=64w.

64w of flouro hung above the plant gives you around 6" of usable light penetration.

You'll need at least 100w of flouro/cfl per plant.

You're going to need to encompass the plant with light not just hang it above the plant.

I also have a 60w 240v double ended tubular architectural strip light which I was going to put on 1 of her sides and turn her daily to take full effect of the light, the 4 other ones are all attached to matt white metal all with separate little ballasts connected to a timer

But so far it is looking goof for a first time grow I would think, it's only for myself, wouldn't consider selling

Just noticed that you said I have 64w of power, I think your maths is wrong. 18 x 4 = 72w so I'm still low but it's not going that bad

shes been in flower for 2 weeks and would be safe to say she has doubled in size, i removed her big leaves when they started covering the branches under them, not all at once, trying my best not to stress her out, shes in a 10 litre bucket, good test dummy lol

There is definitely a lot of stretching which indicates that she really wants more light. You'll get less yield but you can get decent weight with small amounts of light. If you get the budget add more.

I was thinking of mounting the 60w to the side and rotating her everyday but also have another set of 4 in the same kind of frame so going to ask is it possible to put the lights on a angle so both are facing the plants. As I said this is just a test dummy so trying new ideas for cheap and great full for all advice given :)

Try to put light all around her!

The light you have mounted above will only give you usable light for the plant 6" away from the lights.

Yes get as much light around the plant that you can.

If you have to mount it at an angle then so be it.

Yes my math was wrong. You have 4w more than I mentioned.

I thought my maths was correct lol, well I have mounted a 60w light on the side and turning the plant every now and again. Will rearrange the light and other one on 2nd grow but will see how this goes and report progress when I can
