Extreme frustration

See that’s the thing — I oriented the hoophouse to avoid incoming prevailing southern winds that would steer rain directly onto my crop.

But now I’ve got shitty airflow in the hoophouse!

Honestly, this is just agriculture and I needed to vent. I am sure I will still get some seeds out of this deal. I dissected some of the rotten buds and the seeds were near maturity, and didn’t seem affected by the fungus yet.

I just need to find something hardier to cross them with. Just need to remind myself this is a hobby and not worth stressing about.

Lucky charms had no bud rot and minor PM in the midst of a crisis. Nothing giant, but good bud development. Still not sure on the finish time. First run with Bodhi's. Just a noteworthy observation.

I'm having the same issues with my outdoor girls.
It's just too humid and rainy here during the summer to grow successfully without some shelter.
I've been looking at a small hoop house but I also want to have power out there to run fans.
I think that getting enough air movement may help.
I think that's the only thing that MAY help with the botrytis.
I feel your pain.

totally disagree, caterpillar poop is the best medium and catalyst to get botyritis, but you can definitely get it without caterpillars, based on density of buds, susceptibility of strain, moisture levels, health, etc. Mrs. Weedstein should grow a sativa-based strain like ghost train haze or Lemon haze, regularly use neem and sodium bicarbonate-water mix until flower, then use neem-cake tea mixed with lots of water and sodium bicarbonate (or baking soda) to spray down the buds and make a basic PH level that mold hates, the neem tea is mold resistant and so are sativas as they have open bud structure. And get a giant fan, and never turn it off even outside under a hoop house. Or grow in pots that can be moved indoors each evening as morning dew and humidity happens even under plastic.
 
Damp and misty fall conditions really kill evaporation. Make hay while the Sun shines, but those wet falls are hurtful, drove an old friend inside and underground after many years of frustration.
