Extremely Slow Bud Growth

So I know someone who has a BIG outdoor Durban Poison in a 5gal bucket going and she is just taking forever to flower. He is useing complete Fox Farm Liquid and the 3 granular solids, and is planting in ocean forest. Also he has been useing distilled water and going right off the feeding schedule on their web site.

I am thinking that it was a Ph problem or not enough ppm mix because of the distilled water, (he has not been checking ph or tds). I am not too sure but either way its at like week 6 or 7 and its got like week 3 or 4 flower sets, and its getting cold quick. May be posting pics soon give me some feed back guys and let me know what your opinion is.

if im not mistaken, Durban Pioson is a almost 100% sativa strain that can take quite a long time flowering in gereral espessially outdoors ina different climate with a shorter fall season and colder too depending on where you are. May have better luck with it indoors in a controlled enviroment. outdoors idk any pics?? Also it could be that the plant isnt getting the required 12/12 darkness every night or it is getting interuppted with say motion lights.

No it prolly is not getting the correct 12/12 but its not like outside his house, so i dont think there are any interuptions. There is like super tiny buds on it and we live in PA region so i dont know if it will last much longer outside. I think the Ph is super low he needs a meter. I will get him to give me pics but its will take a a couple of days till i see him again.

First hairs were seen on september 9th

Ok well i figured it out for him it turned out it was a massive ph problem. He had distilled water with for farm nutes. The fox farm dropped the ph by about 2.5 to 3.0 making it extremely low and acidic. I think he sould have added hydrated lime to the top of the soil but he just got ph up so hopefully it works out for him. Let me know it that sound off to you guys.

I grew her out a few years ago, and yes, she takes a good long time.
Then again, I was growing outdoors in a shed in 100 degree heat with T12 fluorescent bulbs. Then there was the spider mites, the inconsistent light schedules, the pH swings, the miracle grow soil...

I did everything wrong to this strain and she still produced about an ounce of delicious buds for my 7 months worth of growing time... That's right... 20 weeks flowering after 8 weeks of veg.

I love the strain, I plan to grow with her and cross her to everything I can here some day. Started in March/April, this plant will finish in Late November. Indoors it can take up to 20 weeks of flowering for the plant to fully develop, and even then the harvest is not exceptionally heavy. The stone is absolutely unique and well worth the time and effort.
