EZ cloner problems, roots growing great, new growth is dying and turing brown!

not the entire clone is dying, just the new growth has turned brown, will this make my plant not grow once potted?!?! should i be worried? the roots look great for 10 days. i just dont want stunted growth, should i foliar spray with a N nutrient at low ppm? i didnt want to transplant till next tuesday, the roots arent even an inch yet, but each clone has about 40 root growth spots, looks like spike balls

What is the temp of the water? Do you change the water weekly? What chems are you putting in the cloner? If its too high you can put the pump on a timer. 2 Mins on 2 Mins off.
Heat from the pump is a common problem with these aero cloners.

Hum, I see some little white dots on the leaves. That could be from spider mites.
That would account for the red leaf stem, stress. The tips of the new growth turning brown like that is an indication of too many nutrients.

I would make a mixture of a miticide and soap and dip the whole clone in it. then do it again in a week.
Keep the nutrient ppm at around 500 and pH at 5.8 I know the cloning solution is higher then that but bringing it down some helps.

yes there WAS mites, but were eradicated prior to taking cuttings. i am not using nutrients so im kinda unaware of why it would be a nutrient problem...
 
Well, that's all old growth. As the clone roots it draws nutrients from the existing leaf.
I thought we were talking about new growth but now I look again I realize there isn't any yet.

Still, now that you got root nubs it wouldn't hurt to feed them at 500ppm pH 5.8
 
You don't feed clones like you would seedlings they require more Phosphorous for root growth.
I usually mix my flower nutes at 1/4 strength the first week then on with the veg program.
