try suggesting an FB time limit..she can do anything else online just not FB to see if she can do it. it's not that you don't love her; it's because you do.

you'll get pushback but i imagine you already have which is why we're taking about it.
My bad habits are far worse than hers. I'm not going to ask her to change, since she doesn't ask me to. Anyway, Face Book has known for a long time that she uses her Foodie all the time.

But seriously, we do get a lot of good out of FB. When I have a customer with a bad phone number, chances are she is friends with them (or their family) on FB. She will contact them and ask them to call the office. Before she retired, she never turned down friend requests, so she has a couple three thousand in a county with 15K population. And they make it pretty easy to only see content from your core group of friends, so no real downside to keeping them now that she is no longer working.

Like I said earlier, I explained how they made their money. By tracking clicks and selling ads based on the tracking. She has decided it is worth it to her.

Rep. Ro Khanna: It’s Time For Social Media Rules And Regulations

From January 6th to the pandemic and vaccines, social media has provided a breeding ground for disinformation. Congressman Ro Khanna’s California district includes Silicon Valley. He tells MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell it’s time to regulate the social media industry arguing, “They have to have ethical responsibilities.”

the time was 20 years ago..we are in the hands of billionaire who doesn't even know how sunscreen works:shock:

have you seen how Meta works? they are literally scanning YOU into cyberspace. how many realities do we need? + he keeps everything.

inho that's what's needed for true AI- those things that separate human from machine- real emotions.

There really has only been 2 years that this could have possibly been passed (due to the Republicans counting on the online hate mongering propaganda being spammed to their cult to keep them voting them into office against their actual self interests), and Obama was dealing with the Great Recession and trying like hell to bring us all health insurance. And on top of that it was back in 2009-2010 when the insidiousness of the Tea Party troll programming was really not fully understood until it was too late.

yes, we need to change this. end the Filibuster so we can get things done and guess what? you'll have constituents that know you care about them since ergo things will get done; their lives better and vote Dem again.

we need a spine..end the Filibuster NOW.

who's really the problem here..can't blames the Progs this time..nooooo it's the Mods who are really Repubs.

and McConnell is loving every minute rubbing it in how BIden can't get anything done with the Majority.

but know for a fact BOTH ae in a lot of trouble in their home states.

Team blue will most likely lose the senate in the midterms. I do not want the GOP in charge without the protection of the filibuster.
