Fair and Balanced

Not even remotely accurate.

you're right, cheesy fucked that one up.

his statement was something like: for all black people, zimmy called the cops.

when in reality, his statement should have read something like: for all zimmy's calls to the cops, the person he called about was black.

well, i guess one time there was a hispanic guy there, but we all know zimmy has no love for hispanics.

in Bucky's defense he does have credibility with regards to gardening, but sadly in matters of law politics, ethics, morality, race relations, and logic he is quite mad. i suppose he will turn into one of those weird-beard mountain folk who hide in their cabins crafting insane manifestos, and only coming out into the light when Democrats are in power or to mail letterbombs to those "On Their List".
I have Bucky to thank for the idea to keep a box of used cat litter in my grow room

you can look up her story yourself.

your sarcastic and snide dismissal about "her saintly deeds" betrays your prejudice.

I don't need to see any more of her story. The video speaks for itself. It is clear that she used her power as a high ranking federal employee to discriminate against a farmer based solely on her bigoted and racist inclinations. She admitted it publicly. Termination for cause.

Swap the race of the speaker and the victim: would you then pardon the bigoted white lady who abused her position because she has a black friend? I could be wrong, but I doubt you would be here saying, "how do you get racism out of that video?"

Scuttle on away, Buck. You just look foolish.

[h=3]Sherrod's account[edit][/h]In the full video, Sherrod related her experience in 1986 with the first white farmer to come to her for help. (On July 20 CNN received a telephone call from the farmer's wife and learned his name was Roger Spooner.[SUP][28][/SUP]) Sherrod said that his land was being sold, and "had in fact already been rented out from under him."[SUP][29][/SUP] At first, she felt that he had a superior attitude toward her, causing her to recall harsh aspects of her life in the South, including the murder of her father,[SUP][29][/SUP] but she went on to say that she had not let that get in the way and did not discriminate against him. They became very good friends as a result of her help. She admitted thinking at the time that white people had "all the advantages" but learned that poverty affected both races.[SUP][29][/SUP]
According to Sherrod, she did her job correctly by taking the farmer to a white lawyer who she thought could help him, and she looked for another lawyer when needed.[SUP][30][/SUP] Sherrod rejected claims that she was racist and said she "went all out" to help the man keep his farm. She said that the incident helped her learn to move beyond race, and she told the story to audiences to make that point.[SUP][30][/SUP]
[h=3]Spooner family's account[edit][/h]Roger Spooner, the farmer, said on CNN that Sherrod is not a racist, that she did everything she could for his family; more than 20 years later, he and Sherrod remain friends.[SUP][31][/SUP] The Spooners credit Sherrod with helping them save their farm: "If it hadn't been for her, we would've never known who to see or what to do", Roger Spooner said. "She led us right to our success." His wife, Eloise Spooner, said that "after things kind of settled down, she brought Sherrod some tomatoes out of her garden, and they had a good visit."[SUP][30][/SUP] Eloise Spooner recalled Sherrod as "nice-mannered, thoughtful, friendly; a good person."[SUP][30][/SUP] The couple were surprised by the controversy. "I don't know what brought up the racist mess", Roger Spooner said. "They just want to stir up some trouble, it sounds to me in my opinion." Eloise Spooner said that on seeing the story of Sherrod's resignation, "I said, 'That ain't right. They have not treated her right.'"[SUP][30][/SUP]
[h=3]Full video[edit][/h]The extended unedited video of her speech released by the NAACP[SUP][32][/SUP] showed that in her full speech, Sherrod emphasized what was only touched on in the excerpt:[SUP][33][/SUP] she learned from the incident that poverty, not race, was the key factor in rural development. She said she ultimately worked hard to save the farmer's land.[SUP][3][/SUP]
Other references to race in Sherrod's speech related to a story of her more recent help of a black family to prevent forced sale of their farmland. It was a case in which distant cousins, among numerous heirs, were forcing a sale of land that the family had owned since the grandfather bought it. She noted finding some honest lawyer who happened to be white, and also that the cousins in the North had lined up a white buyer.[SUP][29]

"I was struggling with the fact that so many black people have lost their farmland and here I was faced with having to help a white person save their land so I didn't give him the full force of what I could do. I did enough."

Don't even mention anything else Sherod initially discriminated against the man because he was white!

Now go scuttle along some place else Cheezie! Never come back ever!

Desert Dude and Coolman both used the term scuttle and have similar syntax
Both are racist as all hell

lol, yeah.

i bet i look so foolish because you depend on your own racist assumptions rather than informing yourself of exactly what took place.

who needs facts when you can rely on your racist assumptions?

The racist card is used so often here, that it has become novacaine. Stupid dummy head has more effect than that abused and overused r word.

The whole tape

[video=youtube;E9NcCa_KjXk]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E9NcCa_KjXk[/video]

0:00 to 14:00 nostalgic reminiscences of "The Civil Rights Movement" name checking and shoutouts to various persons of colour (positive) and slams against "white men" including accusations of rampant corruption and murder... you know, the usual

14:01 to 16:40 you know god is so good... praying on my knees... when you are true to what god wants for you, the path just opens up and things just come to you... god is good i can tell you that... etc etc etc... theres an awful lot of religious content from this government official... wheres my "wall of separation between church and state"? nahh. that only applies to hateful evil crackahs.

16:40 "when i was making that commitment i was making that commitment to black people, and black people only"

16:45 more pentecostal name it and claim it rambling.

17:00 to 18:30 the "edited" video which is totally not racist.... even though it totally is decidedly racist.

18:30 "thats when it was revealed to me it's about poor versus those who have and not so much about white. ya'll... it is about white and black"

19:00 to 23:00 revisionist history with a marxist twist. hilariously idiotic.

23:00 to 24:00 "It's all about money yal" "mean spirited" republicans hate obama cuz he's black

25:00 more "god helped me to see" "i come to realize i couldnt live with hate" with an awesome "healthcare" tie in.

26:00 it's sad we dont have a room full of white and black tonight" cuz so many honkeys are welcome at the NAACP.

27:00 now the hate is worse than it was in the 60's...

28:00 slams against young black people today which is already firmly established to be totally racist.

29:00 "we gotta make the "other side of town" work with us" totally not racist.

30:00 im signing all this money, and who's it goin to?" )crowd murmurs about honkeys) "Not one black person!"

31:00 promises of guaranteed government jobs for blacks who atend college at tuskeegee

40:00 we us we we gotta us we gonna "Our communities" "them companies coming in to use up our tax credits and then leave!"

41:00 "making that money flow into our own community!"

42:00 more promises of free shit for "us"

42:30 "my commitment is even more so to south georgia, but i caint say that up in north georgia but THEY dont got trouble gittin that money" so not racist or exclsuionary.

wrong again cheezedick.

wrong again cheezedick.

the only problem with your analysis is that not a whole lot of people share your racist worldview.

the full video was met by the vast majority of normal, decent people as a redeeming tale of overcoming racism.

but then again, the vast majority of normal, decent people don't hold the racial resentments or white supremacist notions that you clearly do.

funny, i dont think anyone besides me and a few wankers in the USDA ever saw the whole video. it really was painful to watch, and yes, the bitch still continues harping about how dedicated she is to "Our Community" as oppose to "The Other Side Of Town" all the way to the end.

she even finishes with a racist joke about how she cant reveal her true alleigence to South Georgia (~30% black) in North Georia (Mostly Honkeys)

http://georgia.us.censusviewer.com/client

but hey, i cant discuss my abiding love for (mostly white) Beverly Hills in (mostly black) Oakland. but thats totally racist because im white, and she is protected by the magical power of her Liberalism and Blackness.

you gotta have BOTH Liberalism AND Blackness, cuz Conservative Blacks are targets. but thats not racist, not even when they lampoon you as a "House Nigger" or a "Mammy" or "Stepin Fetchit"

you think a lot of stupid things, this latest thought of yours is no different.

the fact is that this is a tale of overcoming racism.*

the fact that you think the opposite, while claiming that you personally are not a racist ( ), is a testament to the level of delusion in which you live.

I think Maya Angelou is a really, really shitty writer. Do you think I'm a racist because I think that? Just curious.

Isn't she the "poet laureate" or some such grand title. I agree, her writing (and speaking) is dull and uninspiring. I don't understand the apparent admiration for her.
