falling lights!!

I had 4 cfls in a 4 socket adaptor and am hangin it by duct taping the cord to the roof but recently it has been falling down. Does anyone have any ideas on what I could do to hang my lights? Any help would be appreciated

ever heard of ratchet hangers 2 for $14.95 on ebay?? or you could just get a piece of wire and a screw hook and screw the kook in the roof and hang the thing with the wire.. seriously you don't know how to hang a light and you want to grow weed??? how old are you?? you might want to sit down and read the entire newbie thread and after that read the grow room set up, then diy ... so forth and so on....hahaha how to hang a light...

Haha ratchet hangers won't work for what I have, you don't even know what I got going on so shut the fuck up, I know how to hang a light, I just have one cord that's awkward and that screw and wire thing wouldn't work either

Have you thought about posting a picture of your light problem.

Try being a little more respectful to people that are actually trying to help you.

You do realise its hard to visualise your setup.

Post a pic of your problem and you might get some valid answers.


Most of us here have to fit cross section beams to hang our lights from otherwise they'd pull down the fucking ceiling.


Try hanging a 10kg reflector on duct tape.

An eye hook?
those screw in mounts for metal tubing?
like jondamon says, a 2x4 screwed into studs is a sure fire way to hold anything but i think youd be fine with simple eye hooks.

Can't repeat this enough. Make sure the mounting hardware goes into a stud or make a cross brace so that you are screwing into a stud. Anything else will fall, eventually. Moisture and heat in the room causes most of the failures we see around here. Good luck.
