Fan and Filter too BIG for Tent ?

Hey guys,

I have a 1.2x1.2x2m grow tent with a 600w HID !!
i currently have a 6inch inline fan exhausting and a small desk fan in taking air !
Iam about 4 weeks into flowering and need a filter to get rid of the odour !!

In my garage I have a 12inch centrifugal fan matched to a PHAT Filters carbon scrubber (w400mm x h1250mm)
It's a huge fan and filter combo in perfect working order !!

Will this be too big for my tent ? I'm not even gonna bother trying to hang it up, way to heavy for my tent to support it !

Would I be able to use it in my tent though ? Or is it jus too big ?
Would a fan speed controller and silencer make it useable or is it jus way too big off the bat ?

If so anyone wanna swap a 6inch-8inch centrifugal fan and carbon scrubber setup for my beast hurricane creating fan and filter combo ?

Probably going to need the fan speed controller to not suck your tent into half of its size. But if you can stand taking up that much room, and the noise, it will make sure you have NO smell

No sense in buying another fan unless you sell that one on CL or something.

I would put a speed controller and a muffler if you want it to be quiet.

My buddy told me about this trick of taking the pre-fliter off the outside and stuffing it inside...then you can blow through it instead of sucking. That way you can set the filter or the whole setup outside the tent and put outgoing air through the scrubber. Never tried it myself, but in theory it should work.

All good, the price of the silencer was around $200 which was the same price for a Mountain Air 6inch 500mm filter which is alot better suited.
Plus after rigging up my 12inch fan with silencer and all its way to big to fit inside the tent, and where the tent is now I can really have anything out side it...

$150 down and Ive still only just got a carbon filter, will be going down today to pick up the fan to suite ... another $150 down :( !!!

Might have to jump on some roulette tables n win it back lol !!

p.s: Filter is rated to last 3+ years if used in conjunction with the spec sheet !! so thats a plus lol
