well for right now at least you need a ph tester and follow the back of the bottle a have a tester a meter and the same nutes you are using so got to the shop and get a ph tester how big is the plant right now
Oh guys, I am not one of those sensitive bitches. I need to hear what I NEED TO HEAR. I can afford a meter so I will purchase one when I get to the shop. I am using water that is britta filtered.
yes, you need a tri-meter, an all in one meter that reads ph, ppm, and ec
p.h needs to be between 5.5-6.0
if you can get and automatic ph doser, this will automatically fix your ph to the right place weather you are around or not, just set it and bam, they run 300-1000 usd
then you need good nutes, i'd suggest the entire canna line. A good rule of thumb is not to mix up nutrient brands, such as foxfarm with dyna-grow with a little canna..noo noo noo, go with one brand. Whatever you do, make sure you know all the nutrients mary jane needs to grow. There are a lot of nute brands that your hydro store will sell but they don't have every element you need for mj and you will notice slight def which will affect yeild in harvest( limp leaf, slight purple petioles, slight rose setting). Like i said i recommend canna aqua vega & aqua flores (you need both a & b of each), rhiztonic, cannazyme and canna boost, and then for clearning one week before harvest use just water and h20, get some h20 from your hydro store and research on how to dilute in properly
and there you have your problem..... 1640 is too high, try getting it down to 800. PH is also a smidge too high... get it down to around 5.7.ph=6
tds=1640

What is the res temp (temp of water in your reservoir)? Also, what is the PH and PPM of your plain tap water?

Maybe... get that reading of your tap water first. Don't know where you are but I'm in FL on the coast and my tap water is 550+ PPM out of the faucet and of that 550+ 130PPM is sodium (I learned that from my water report).Shit, forgot to do the tap water part. I have to wait on the vet to come give the dog his shot before I can get back to it. Got the house ousted already. Not going to open that door up before she gets here.
So to get my ppm down I water down my nuts?

That's why I think you need to know what the tap water PPM is before you even bother trying to adjust it. If your tap PPM is super high like mine then even though you can lower your PPM using it... you still may actually not solve the problem if your tap water has high sodium (like mine). If your tap water PPM is 200 or less then you are probably safe using it and can just dilute your current nute mix down to around 800 PPM.
If your tap water has a higher then 200 PPM you may want to consider a RO machine or using distilled water.
Also, always remember, add nutes first.... adjust PH after that (because nutes usually lower PH a bit on their own )
Res temp =70
PH from Britta water-6.8 PH from straight tap is over 9
PPM from Britta is 70.

Got PPM to 1100. Lady at store told me that I did not want to go over 1300. The chart for the nutes I use says to keep it between 1000 and 1400 during this stage. SO, should I leave them at 1100 for now or try to raise them a tad?
Excellent!
I don't like to push the nutes... let's see... you said you are 33 days into flowering (so going into week 5). you are also seeing problems with the leafs... so... I would flush those plants for a few days. To do this use just your Brita filtered water PH'd to 5.7 (no nutes) in the reservoir. Let them drink this water for a couple of days then replace the water with a new Water/Nute mix .... I'd go 800 or 900 and up it by 100 each following week until you get to 1200 or 1300. About that time you out to be near or at the flushing stage prior to harvest.
The reason I'm suggesting a flush now, instead of just going with a lowered nute mix is that you are seeing a problem in the leafs... you need to let the plant get those excess salts built up OUT of their system. A flush allows them to do this. You let them drink water with no nutes for a few days... then you go back to feeding... but with a lowered dose and work your way up.
You can't go by what the nute manufacturer says on the bottle... they always seem high on the PPM.... (damn nute pushers ). I start on the lower end and work my way up slowly each week.
Hopefully that all makes sense.
Thanks! The girl at the store told me not to go by the bottle either, that I needed to go to the website and look at that schedule. I will go ahead and flush her.
I am trying to find the damn cable so I can go ahead and down load a pic. Wish me luck, my office is a mess.
