I'm using a 600 watt light with a sealed air cooled reflector with build in 6 inch flanges. Can I use this duct fan to cool and pump out the hot air trapped inside?

That fan is just not made for that. I know people have used them before, but you would be way better off with an inline fan that was 250 cfm or higher. They try to rate those fans a lot higher than what they are. You can always go bigger, and plug it into a speed regulator. The only thing I would use that fan for is a bud dryer. Which is the exact fan that i use for mine. It works great for drying herb.

Can I use just 1 435 cfm inline fan or do I have to go with 2?

1 would work very well. YOu would probably only run it at about half power, but if you ever need anymore then all you have to do is turn the dial. 400cfm will also handle a 1000watter. I will be using one for two 600watters ran together.

Thanks I'm going to order 1 today.
