has anybody had any experiance with this fan from htgsupply? and could any one tell me if you think this would be enough cfm to vent a 3x3x6 closet through a cool tube with a 400w mh? I have a 6" inline duct fan from home depot on the cool tube now exiting the room through a 4" hole in the wall. and I also have a 4" intake hole in the floor with a computer fan in some duct tube , and I cant get the temp below 91 degrees . If any one has experiance with one how quite is it? Do you think this fan will be enough to get down to about 75 - 80 degrees or will I need more?

p.s hope you can understand me cuz right now i'm high as hell due to the last of the purple kush:joint::mrgreen:

Thats a tough one, it will probably only drop your temp to around low to mid 80's which is still high. I have never tried this and am not sure if it would work, but you could try putting some dry ice in there if you got space. It hopefully will cool down you room a little too. I do know however, that the extra release co2 which will help your plants cope with the higher temp.

before i put the light in there the temp was at a steady 70 , and when I put the light in there with no intake in the floor the temp was at 97. I added the floor vent and got it down to 91 . the temp aander the floor in the basement is 68- 69 degrees. does that help any?

eh dude, you can try put the computer fan closer to your light. I put mines almost next to the light to suck the air out. I t should have more power sucking out the hot air closer to the light, rather then at the end of the duct. If you look at my grow journal, my cab is a little warm, but it's ok for now, not 91 degrees though. try that out before you by your fan. doesn't harm in trying that. good luck

Heres what i would do, and im hoping you live in a colder climate... maybe somehow you can pull in cooler air from outside into your room to cool it down and provide some much needed fresh air, and you want to be doing this while you are seperatly cooling the cool tube... Its just a thought i dont know if your situation allows for that, but hey its worth a try. Either way your going to have to figure out something you know what i mean...

thanks for all the input. so heres an update , I got a 6 " sunleaves fan exhausting the whole closet through a 4" hole above the door with a speaker box over the hole on the outside to hide the hole. I now have another 4" passive intake in the floor sucking from the basement for a total of 2 4" intake holes. one hole is for the closet intake and the other is for the cool tubes fresh air intake. I also have a 6" hole in the wall exhausting the air from the light into a crawl space under the stairs.I am using the 6" inline duct fan to exhaust the air from the light . so now the cool tube is sealed off from the rest of the room . witch now I can run co2. I just got it all setup today so we'll have to see how the temp does now. I did have the sunleaves fan exhausting the whole room through the cool tube then out the 6" hole with 2 4" passive intakes in the floor and the temp droped to a steady 75- 77 degrees . but the fan was pushing alot of air through the wall and it made it noisy outside in my apartment hallway , witch I decided was a no no being stealth and all. so I got high and came up with what I have now . any comments welcome . what do you guys\galls think the temp will drop to now if any drop at all? I am personally shoting for 72-75 . what ya think?
