Thanks 1star I used to not spend much time here cuz there wasn't many CFL grows that impressed me or were better than DrBud and a few others over at IC .. I'm sure there probably was and I just didn't bother to look very hard. But what I do love about RIU is you have my favorite breeder as a MOD aka Subcool no matter how much peeps hate on him. You also have a section just for CFLs unlike ICMAG's Micro Grows which is cluttered with HID grows as well .. I hoping to become a Mod of the CFL forums here and donate to the site to help with server costs ect and spread the love for CFL and all Fluorescent grows cuz I've seen some really amazing results under T12s in High Times where they said the quality was better than HPS as well...

IC seems like it has more experienced people but less willing to post and help out. here threads get shitloads of replies and over there u get thousands of views and barely any replies, but for the most part when someone posts its some very good info. Yo digity heres a look into my cab on monday night i got the 150 hps this round but im keeping 52w of 65k cfls to be honest the hps was easier to cool than all the cfls i had last grow. so heres the pics its mostly big bang from greenhouse and some bagseed kush and one mazar-i-shariff. i go to school and have to leave behind my box every 4 months so i cant get a perpetual harvest methos yet, but thats what im going for in the future.

another thing i wanted to discuss with you si that over summer time when i do my outdoors my girls always get just a slight bit of light from a streetpost at night. So they are not in complete darkness at night. i havent had a single hermie yet in the 3 years ive been doing outdoor. So i guess my question is why do they have to be in total complete darkness when they are in a grow box? does a plant just percieve dark time becuase the light levels are so low? i was just wondering if you had any thoughts on this... ive been trippin out on it for a bit and has got me thinking whats the deal with indoor grows having to be real dark or hermies coming up

that's funny you ask, I have light leaks so my girls are in I'd say 90% darkness and the only time I've seen a nanner was when I kept fucking with the lighting from 12/12 to 13/11 back and forth and even then I've only seen 1 or 2 on 1 plant out of all I've grown so far...

makes me wonder if as long as your light leak is like an ambient thing instead of a beam of light hitting you plant on a spot your fine. cus i have heard of ppl getting nanners from light leaks but i wonder if its just the spots that maybe get a little beam of light. taken from my outdoor grows where they get hit by street light hps and also moonshine is quite bright sometimes, im thinking that as long as the whole plant is in the same low lvl of light it will just accept it as dark time or something. but if it gets a very dark ambient with a leaf on it getting enough to photosynthesize i think thats what might cause them to stress. it was just something ive been thinking about for a few years but never really found any posts or info on it.
So what you think of the cab?? im using straight coco with gh nutes flora series. i was putting much consideration into getting gravity. When do you add it? and has it been fool proof with all your girls so far? any problems with it at all? i guess i got to read up on this product since i dont know shit about em. if i can get rock hard bud under cfls with gravity that would be my dream cus i just love rock hard nugs lol
one last thing how often did you water when you wheere using straight coco?
