‘Businesses will shut down’: Maga backfires as Americans suffer under tariffs​

The president has promised utopia. But US companies face a much starker reality
The president on Monday pledged to slap tariffs on “all countries”, and is preparing for what he calls “liberation day” on Wednesday, when he will announce sweeping reciprocal tariffs on US trading partners.

But the reality on the ground for American businesses is the quite the opposite. Instead of utopia, companies are grappling with rising prices, plunging confidence and dwindling spending.

Trump’s liberation day could be cataclysmic for large swathes of America.

I would have expected that trump firing 1000's of disabled vetrerans would have an effect on you....but no
The U.S. workforce is only 5% veterans, yet they make up 30% of the Federal workforce, and many are disabled veterans because they have a hard time finding meaningful employment due to their disabilities. So when musk/trump fire federal workers it impacts veterans more than others. Republicans are hurting disabled veterans the most.

Look no further than the felon-in-chief. He's mocked veterans from the get-go, disabled or not. I think its out of jealousy, that he never had the courage, or the inclination, to fight for something worth fighting for. I'm no psychologist, so I could be wrong. Just going off evidence of real events, not from any right-wing or lefty newscast, or website.

Cuts across the board , no one is singling out vets. That’s a bullshit argument .
I’m sure some are woman, so he hates woman , and I’m sure some are minorities too and you know how that goes … yawn what’s the next thing CNN is telling you to be pissed about.

The government certainly could use streamlining, and reduction in wasteful spending. Reducing over-bloated government agencies and make them more efficient is a good thing. Even for disabled vets.
