more freedoming from the freedomers of freedum.

They should use those transcripts to dry their tears.
EVERYTHING they do like this drives more and more people away from them, and binds their small base of lunatics closer...
So as far as i'm concerned, hold a ridiculous committee meeting EVERY DAY. Let the rest of the country see how obsessed you are, how deranged you are about the Biden family. How pathetic you are.

Predicting ellipses and the weather will be illegal in Montana as will cattle breeding, they are all based on theory!

These people manage to find the most stupid bullshit to propose.

Let's talk about science in Montana....
A thumbnail sketch of the bill’s sponsor, who combines toxic evangelism with the usual qrap. His mission in life is to make the Trailer Queen look restrained.

Challenge the law if they are stupid enough to pass it. For that matter, if people are stupid enough to vote for such people they should be disenfranchised for their own protection and that of their children!

I think , pretty damn sure that Josh is a piece of shit !
Joe knows Mitch well and Mitch apparently likes Joe from back in their senate days. Joe isolated the maga republicans and extremists in his speeches and made sure to give the establishment republicans wiggle room as Trump goes down. I noticed when Joe chopped the heads off the magats during the SOTU speech, Mitch was quick to follow it up with a knife in the back for them. For Joe this serves two purposes, America needs at least two parties to function and both must be at least sane and committed to the constitution. Secondly, it will divide the republicans and keep them out of power for hopefully a few election cycles and by then generational and demographic changes should help. Gaining a hat trick and using the power to level the playing field with HR1, increasing states and new laws to stamp out domestic terrorism and reduce disinformation, would help too.

It kinda looks like that's what the democrats are shooting for, the long game and setting the republicans up with a shit storm for 2024.

Steve Schmidt is joined by former chairperson of the Republican National Committee, Michael Steele, to discuss why he believes Ron DeSantis is the front-runner for the Republican nomination in 2024 over Donald Trump. They break down how Trump may make things difficult for the Florida governor, and highlight other alternatives they would like to see run for President, including Liz Cheney.

i don't think it matters who the republicans run...they don't have anyone that is attractive to liberals at all, and very few that independents could get behind, even partially.
They don't have the numbers to carry a presidential election, if there is a big turnout...and there will be a big turnout, no matter who they run.
People love to say NO. And that's what they'll be doing in the 24 elections. there are just more liberals than conservatives, and the conservatives aren't doing a damn thing to win over any independents.
Abortion is still an issue, and they're the ones keeping it in the news, with fresh attacks at least weekly. The republicans have no agenda, except finally airing all the grievances they've been accumulating, and publicly embarrassing themselves, at least the ones who actually have any shame left.
they still haven't come up with a viable offer to settle the debt ceiling, and don't seem to be interested in doing so.
they don't have anything like a balanced budget plan, they don't even have anything like a plan...
desantis is popular with the stupid, the fascists, the domestic terrorists, and there are more of them than i like to admit, but there ain't enough of them to take over without another coup attempt, and all of them that actually had the balls and the stupidity to do something like that are busy serving sentences for sedition.

As far as Trump running in 2024, I figure if he does, it will be from inside a cell. I try not to pay too much attention to him running, after Jack is done with him and the magats, 2024 might be a different political landscape. Not just federally, but in a few states, where the core fanatics of the republican party could be in trouble too over the fake electors.

I figure 2023 will be a year of reckoning for many and 2024 too, this and the investigations it will spawn will crack the GOP wide open when the rats start squealing and dealing, this will go on for years and some will sweat for a long time to come. Most of these suits fear prison and will cut anybody's throat for a deal from Jack, these are republicans and there are many rats and weasels among them, snakes too.

Jack wants to know everything and he will find out a lot of crimes to hand off to the DOJ along the way.

One more year before the primaries begin in earnest. We'll see then who has the upper hand in the Republican Party. Who they run for Prez matters because the only poll that matters is the one we hold in November 2024. The Senate looks to be in play too.

While I agree with you about the missteps Republicans are making now, as Schmidt says, we are headed into a tumultuous year. EVERYTHING depends on what happens in '23. If we go into a difficult recession, it might not matter what Republicans are doing to women's rights. 73 million people voted for Trump. After all that went wrong at Trump's hands during his term in office, 73 million people still voted for him. With that kind of starting point and the advantage the EC gives them, Republicans can't be written off just yet.
