Fat buds but few trichs

I'm flowering my first clone and so far I'm into week 7 of flowering. While the buds are getting nice and fat, I'm not seeing as much trich production as I would like. Temps are a constant 72*, 50-52% humidity, 12/12, cfls, planted in Dr. Earth Organic soil, and I'm using their Bud and Bloom Booster and black strap molasses. I only water as needed (when the pot is light). I cut back the light period by 30 min today hoping the decrease would help her finish out better and with plans to decrease another 30 min in a few days. The plant I took the cutting from produced a water bottle sized main cola, was trich heavy, and smoked soooooo nice. I don't think it's the plant per say, but something I did or didn't do (new soil + new ferts + trying organics = new learning curve). I was thinking of bringing in a dehumidifier to lower the humidity in hopes that it would up her trich production. Any other ideas or thoughts to help squeeze some more trich production out of her (I'm thinking she still has awhile to go)? I can post pics if need be. Thanks ahead of time.
 
The lights shut off on me and these were all I could snap beforehand. Hope it helps out some. Thanks.

Edit: I think I worded my first post confusing. Before anyone says it, I know I have a while till harvest as the mother took around 14 weeks to finish. :wink:

How much lights you using? a high THC production enviroment is one with lower humidity and intense light with uvb. This is why i will never flower indoors again.

Yes, she was trich heavy when finished.

Everything is the same as far as lighting goes and I'm using cfls. I never had an issue with any plants having this low of trichs before. My previous grows were all sugary and wonderful to smoke. The only thing that has changed is the soil and trying organic.

Yeah, the buds have gotten even fatter since I originally posted this, but still low trich production. It's rather depressing.

You must live in a year round warmer climate, I wish I did because the outdoor is where its at! SO MUCH FUN and I can't wait myself until April.
 
These are pics from a prior grow and you can see I didn't have to worry about this issue. It's disappointing seeing your hard work not pan out how you'd like it. :sad:

Well HOW MANY CFLS i diddnt ask what your last grow looked like. Could be the strain you grew last time naturally has a high production of thc and could take low light levels while this one you have now wont push out thrichs until a better enviroment is introduced. Try and get some uvb cfls i bet that would make a huge diffence. as i said before thc is produced by the plant as a reaction to a low-humidity, High-heat, high stress, And high-light/uvb enviroments. Its the plants natural armor aganst harmful things in nature.

I was trying to tell you that the lighting is the same as used on the mother and I had zero issues with her or any other plant using the same setup. I'll check out the bulbs you mentioned though and give them a try.

My plants know I love them. I listen to music with them, talk to them, and act upbeat around my ladies.

Haha damn im too baked sorry about that. But still HOW MANY? haha I know your last harvest went all good but that sugariness could be due to more stress as well, maybe your doing better this time around?I think you need more light but thats just my opinion.

You can raise the temp while decreasing humidity. Don't raise it too high but 75 - 82 will help the plant produce more resin, and I believe 77 is the optimum temp for flowering.;-) Also make sure you've got some color mix in your light spectrum. Something like 85/15 , 80/20 red/blue.

I'm using two 25w 3100k florescent tubes and the following cfls: 3x 42w 2700k, 2x 42w 5000k, 4x 23w 2700k positioned around/above the plant.

Ok, I bumped the temps up to 76* today. I'll have to wait for my bf to drag the dehumidifier up for me to adjust that. I also feel silly, because I've been so sick this week and my bf has been checking on my ladies for me. When I went to adjust the temps today I noticed that they are way more resiny than before. *sigh* Poor guy doesn't know what to look for :confused:
