yeah i definitely agree with you. older rap(when it comes to mainstream) is definitely quality.old outkast, tupac, wutang, gza, nas, dmx(early 90s), tribe called quest, etc..those mainstreamers have talent. but rap still has a ton of amazing music in it, predominately in the underground though. you'll be hard pressed to find it in mainstream. only two really consistant mainstreamers IMO are Immortal Technique and Lupe Fiasco. Check out Iron Solomon or Diabolic if you think underground rap is dead though..far from it brah..

What death metal bands do you listen to? I havent listened to it since i was younger. Used to be big into screamo and post-hardcore and all that stuff. I usually am just listening to chill alternative rock but im really getting back into screamo.

Anyway I also enjoy Stoner/doom/sludge metal, as well as alternative rock and metal. Any kind of progressive/technical/neoclassical rock or metal I love. I also like classical, my favorite composers are Vivaldi, Schubert, Bach and Beethoven.

I also like some hip-hop
