Only big chain I really like is Mountain Mikes'. Used to be (may still be a couple left somewhere) a chain arounf nor cal called Ricos Pizza. Best pizza ever! The crust was like baked bread and the toppings were abundant and fresh, and not greasy.

Fast Eddies in Tok AK.
The Mad Trapper pizza is the bomb !

There's a place around where I live called Grandma's Pizza bout the best I've had in my area. Another place not to far away is damn good too but I cant think of the name atm.

I had some awesome pizza in Jacksonville once. For the sausage pizza, they cooked the sausage in links then sliced it thin on a meat slicer. It got a little brown around the edges in the oven and was delicious. Best way I've seen anyone do sausage pizza. Little extra effort like that goes a long way in my book.

Softshelled crab Pizza?
Only a coonass could appreciate that one.

you'd really trip out to know that in some of the more cajun areas down here in the boot, taco bell carries crawfish chalupas and tacos..... We be a special breed :)

as for the best pizza I've had to date, we've got a little mom/pop joint in my hometown of madisonville called "Frog's" that makes the best thin crust one has ever had.... still searching for that great deep dish, but doesnt seem to be our area's thing

My wife would tell you that cajun's are yankees, true coonass's live in the bayou.
She's a born & bred Coonass from Chauvin - I met her in Dulac. Most people will have to look that one up.

The best pizza is in New york, anyone who says otherwise has never had new york pizza or is from chicago and eats their pizza with a knife and fork.

dont have to look either up.... I come from a crabbing family from the bayou ;) As far as the yankee comment, I dont think you know much about our culture or people, despite where your wife comes from.
