good morning lacy. looks like your trimming. they look very good. thank you for waiting, you won't be disappointed. i too do not see the curled leaf tips but the buds look ready. with all the rain you've had it would be best to get them in before rot starts. they can handle a day or two of rain but need to dry out every day or so or rot will start to set in. i'd say they are ready and you seem to be ding it right. only biting off what you can chew at one time. i think you have done very well.:blsmoke::peace:

I've got my hubby and the neighbour wanting me to grow worms for them to go fishing and now you say chuck in a bunch of spiders????

Good Evening. Yes I have been trimming and trimming and trimming. :-|

I think our outdoor grows here in Ontario don't get the curled leaves because of the temps and humidity. We have high humidity and with all the rain we had, there was no way those leaves were gonna curl so I cut 'em down this morning. You have less humidity where you are plus have warmer weather while in the last stages of flowering.
I woke up this morning and some were starting to look slightly water logged.

I did not know I needed to dry my buds. Thats a lot of buds to dry off. :-|

I still have about 1/4 yet to harvest but those buds are clearly NOT ready and are certainly not rotting.

Thanks for your help fdd.
P.S. I think most people pay attention to what you have to say.bongsmilie:eyesmoke::bigjoint::lol:bongsmilie;-):bigjoint:

Just some idiot
Wow Lacy they look great. I hope you enjoy the smoke. I know you don't have a microscope but if you have a magnifying glass you can see the trichomes better---you know for your experiment. Not as good as a microscope but half way decent.

Get your husband to collect the spiders if you don't like them and use them once the moths come into season.
They kill a lot of moths and you can collect them back up again when you want to harvest and chuck them back into your normal garden area.
1 dead moth = 100 never to be born bud eating caterpillars.
10 spiders will eat many many moths:blsmoke:

Hi Gygax,
Yes I do have a magnifying glass that I use to do some of my sewing like putting in zippers and stuff. It also has a light on it so it is good. I have lots of l;ittle trimming scissors too but they are getting all gummies up. My nail polish remover cleans them up really nice.

And of course I am enjoying the smoke.
That goes without saying.
Cheers!!!bongsmilie:bigjoint::eyesmoke::joint:

No kidding. Thats really taking in to consideration every aspect.

The thought of collecting up spiders is a bit chilling but I'd consider it.

GAWD!! The things we do to grow our weed.

So far 5 hours into trimming and not even 1/2 finished. :-? but watching movies makes it more fun.

Thanks again Nat

if its the chunky kinda gummy goo that i get on trimming scissors, it makes a great topper for a bowl because it's full of trich's. i used a razorblade when i started out but ive recently found that the exacto knife i use for cloning works even better to scrape the stuff off and ball it up.
no point in wasting it by wiping it away with fingernail polish remover...... besides i would be leary of putting that near my buds really often.

Hey that was good that you caught it. I thought with all the rain we had that I couldn't stretch mine out any more but I still have 1/3rd monster plant and one 4 footer left.

You did good smarty. Your name suites you.
well............. i have found one tiny worm thing, it was dark and about 5 mil long but i assumed it was there by accident :D but one worm in loads of rot, cant be

all of my plants have it, even though they are no where near each other, strange....

i trimmed up a plant that had a bit of mold on the outside edges of the leaves and they have dried ok, thank god :D

two of my plants that have mold still have some clear thichs and just the odd amber one so i am desperately hanging on, dont look like i can stretch it for another 2 weeks :(

Ok I never thought of that before. Yeah it would be really potent stuff for sure. :-| I used to love cleaning the resin off hash pipes for some hash oil. Thats potent too.:eyesmoke:;-)

I clean it off with nail polish remover but I wash the scissors off really well also. I don't want that near my weed either.:?

Yeah well...I wish my hubby would smoke some with me. :-| I have this stuff ALL to myself.:?
Ok I guess thats not THAT bad.

I'm probably gonna get all kinds of flack for this BUT I used 'miracle grow' and always have used that or Presidents Choice 'Magic Soil.' It works for me and keeps it real simple. It absorbs water, makes the pots light enough to move around, makes it easy for the roots to flourish and has some added nutrients that become depleted at the end of flowering.

I got some DNF 'dutch nutrient formula' from the hydroponics shop in ontario Canada. I gave them that every second feeding up until about one month before cutting. Its an organic nutrient formula that I have to say I was impressed with. Its got that bat poop and stuff in it that have been proven to make bigger buds.

I tried the molasses thing once but was a bit concerned with over feeding.

I topped my plants when they were younger and started training them, stresses them.
Then when they were about 2 weeks into flowering we had a huge thunderstorm and 3 of my big plants got split. I tied them up with velcro but I honestly believe that was a blessing because they thrived after that. I also ended up with plants that were at the perfect angle to get the most buds.
I had soooooooo many bud branches on some of them. I will take some pictures of the bare stems after I am finished to give you a better idea of what I am talking about.

So my sewing magnifying glass wasn't such a great idea.:lol::lol::dunce:

Check out the pic below.

I have one 4 footer left to harvest and 1/3rd of a monster plant.

Its taken me quite some time to trim and put away to dry that last crop.

Here are some pics.

Thats quite resourceful. Good idea!

I absolutely without a doubt love getting high BUT without that nice taste, its just NOT the same.
I was there a few weeks back testing and tasting but now have plenty.
