Fed up.Considering throwing in the towel

Well between not finding any info that has yet to help my problem(Im sure the solution is out there I just havent gotten any responses to my posts and for some reason seem to be incapable of getting the results Im looking for when using the search feature.) and for the fact I cannot get my tent temps and humidity near ideal Im thinking about throwing in the towel on growing.

My setup is as follows:
Sunhut XL
600w hps aircooled
6" active air inline fan with phresh filter
8 individual waterfarms modded with bigger holes in the upper bucket
cool mist humidifier

The clones are well rooted Im running 18/6 lighting with the fan running when the lights are on.The pumps for waterfarms are running 1hr on 1hr off.

The problems Im having are temps with lights on are 82+ w/lights on humidity wont go above 35%.My ph goes north of 7 within 24hrs.Thats just my environmental issues.
The plants are slowly turning completely yellow and working its way up the plant the leaves are curling up and dying.2 of the clones which came from another source and were put in 4-5 days later dont seem to be having this problem.(Theyve been in long enough to where they would be doing the same thing if they were going to)

If anyone would give me any advice as to how to start getting these issues handled I would greatly appreciate it.

Im gonna attach some pics but they were taken with my phone and the yellow doesnt seem as bad in the pics.

to lower temps bring in air from outside to blow over your light or suck the heat out with a filter on the shade get some good ph down to stable your ph humidity 35percent works not perfect but mist by hand from time to time or increase your humidifier yellowing is due to n lockout from high ph lower to like 5.5 to 5.9 then upto 6.2 for flowering try this it will help and work

pretty much nailed it there...all looks good other than the RH and the ph levels...your ph is way too high for a hydro setup...like he said..take care of that and you should be all set

How much would I add to a 2 gal res.

JUSt a pinch is all I use...I'm in soil and I use about a half tsp per gallon.....helped me out tremendously...hope this helps ya out bro

Does anyone think I might be overwatering? Currently Im going 1hr on/1hr off constantly.I read the watering issues thread and it looks like I might be overwatering but most of the leaves are dry and slightly crunchy to the touch.Is this possible if Im overwatering?

Couple other random questions I have are:
What is a good height to set my light hood at? Its 600w hps air cooled.
What is the proper way to set up my filter/fan? Right now its Filter->tubing->fan->tubing->lighthood->tubing->tent exit.

No its not over watering. Definitely nutrient lock out.

*UPDATE*

So I dropped the ph to 5.5 and adjusted my nutes a lil bit.
The plants are starting to turn green again slowly but surely.BUT the drooping is still present and now a couple of plants are getting brown spots on the leaves.A few leaves have even curled from the sides in not from the tips.
Are these symptoms normal for nute adjustment?

i have kinda a similar set up drip i put it on for 4 mins every hour it seems to work well as for the lights put ur hand above the plant and raise it to were it dont feel heat and have a fan on it

Are you sure the water is making it to the roots? If you suspect nute lock you could try foliar feeding.

If you are a new grower I have a one word solution. Soil. My choice is fox farm ocean forrest. Everbody wants the "dro". And they think it only comes from reservoirs. Wrong.

ive grow with drip buckets for years. I Still use them for mothers. And have never set there watering on a schedule just plug the air pump in and don't fuck with it.

Just to balance the scale, I have been in hydro for a yr now, and love how clean it is. I just started a few plants for a "buddy" that wanted to grow in dirt. In 2 days it was all over my grow room, I now can officially say I hate dirt. I could not believe how I tracked it everywhere.

But back to the topic. Foilar feeding will help in a PH problem, just make a really weak solution and mist the plants with it. It is also a good way to figure out what you are deficient in if you have access to specific nutes....Good luck JR

the curling is probably ph shock give them time they will recover and dont listen to the dirt pushers hydro is where its at for sure also what is your drip ring made out of im a flood a drain guy or areo thinking of trying a buket for some moms like that ring deal you have how does it work bro

The bucket kits are waterfarms.The best way to explain is it has a 4 gal res,2 gal upper bucket with a bunch of holes in the bottom,theres a big plastic tube that goes down to the lower res,inside the tube is an airline from a fish tank pump that creates pressure back up the tube for the drip ring.


The plants are doing very well now on a new diet of nutes.Im gonna be converting the kits to dwc on next res change now that the roots are in the lower area.Ill take pics when I adjust the ph tonight.
