Lucky I have my own 'dispensary' in my cupboard, by way of the closet grow. I have seen this coming for years. You will have complete government control of pot or nothing. I am guessing in coming year that there will be legalization but with all the sin taxes and bullshit alcohol goes through.

so the FEDs sent out 16 letters to landlords, 12 to Sandy Eggo..

from the article said:
....at least 16 pot shops or their landlords received letters this week stating they are violating federal drug laws,....

and....Their offices refused Thursday to confirm the closure orders. The Associated Press obtained copies of the letters that a prosecutor sent to at least 12 San Diego dispensaries.....
but all 12 of the Sandy Eggo shops were already in trouble with the Cali/Sandy Eggo courts...

from the article said:
The San Diego medical marijuana outlets put on notice were the same 12 that city officials sued last month for operating illegally, after activists there threatened to force an election on a zoning plan adopted to regulate the city's fast-growing medical marijuana industry, City Attorney Jan Goldsmith said. A judge on Wednesday ordered nine of the targeted shops to close, while the other three shut down voluntarily, Goldsmith said.
I'm thinking this is just a ruse by the FEDs to let Obammy show a little movement, and clout, on his promises, and to get a little press and airtime from the media. It only cost the FEDs the cost of postage and a few letters.

it seems like quite a coincidence that out of almost 200 dispensaries in San Diego, the 12 that were targeted we're already under duress from the local government.. and would probably be forced to close anyway..

hmmmm

Here they come again! Gonna tell you how to live your life! People need to wake up, we need a person like Ron Paul in the white house getting gov the fuck out of our houses!

I believe in the Tomatoe example: Tomatoes are fully legal, we can buy them commercially, we can buy them locally, we can grow them ourselves... The Government,,, why do they make me not like them... I swear i thought being a cop would be a great career, except that you have to be slimey. The Laws are corrupt... De-schedule.

And now im looking back at prop 19,, that would have done a lot. There are still people that dont see the benefits to that. The feds would have to send everyone in california a letter, lol.

There have been cases where even tomatoes were deemed to be illegal. Some years back I read about a man who grew tomatoes in his backyard. He sold them to individuals and also to people who resold them. One of those who resold them sold them at a roadside stand just across the State line from where the tomatoes were grow. Because the tomatoes crossed State lines they fell under Federal Interstate Commerce laws. Some bureaucrat decided that the tomato grower did not comply with some Federal regulation and the grower was busted and could no longer sell what were deemed illegal tomatoes.

Another example of some faceless unelected bureaucrat deciding/defining law is the case of Gibson guitars. Gibson was raided, twice, because of a bureaucrat's interpretation of foreign laws. The Lacey Act states that any imported goods have to comply with all laws of the nation the goods come from. U.S. bureaucrats interpret foreign law, not judges or lawmakers of a foreign nation. In November 2009, federal agents seized guitars and fingerboard blanks that were allegedly made from illegally harvested Madagascan rosewood and ebony.

The reason the wood was deemed illegal was the government had been replaced in a coup and the new government was not recognized and some bureaucrat deemed that made doing business as usual, Gibson purchasing the same wood from the same foreign suppliers as in the past, was illegal.

In the latest FBI raid on Gibson FBI agents seized several pallets of wood, electronic files and guitars. The raid was justified by the FBI simply because the wood was finished in the United States. Indian law says no sawn wood can be exported, only finished wood can legally be exported. The Federal Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. has suggested that the use of wood from India that is not finished by Indian workers is illegal, not because of U.S. law, but because it is the Justice Department’s interpretation of a law in India.

All finished wood is, is wood that is supplied in standard sizes, not as in a finished/complete product that is made from the wood. Some bureaucrat decided that Indian law actually meant a finished product rather than finished wood.

The current administration said that for Gibson to use the wood they needed to outsource their production to India, to close down guitar production facilities in the U.S. and make their guitars in India instead.

That is the position of the Obama administration, an administration facing the worst unemployment problem since WWII, an administration whose main goal should be to help create a business environment that both saves jobs and creates new jobs, not use bullshit interpretations of foreign law, interpretations made by unelected bureaucrats and not by U.S. judges, Congress or foreign judges or the foreign government, to force U.S. businesses to fire workers and relocate to foreign nations.

Sadly some laws actually allow for interpretation and enforcement by unelected faceless ignorant bureaucrats. Because of that many things that are believed to be 100% legal, and should be 100% legal, can be deemed to be illegal if some moron bureaucrat decides it is illegal.

Fuck India; fuck the Nobama administration; and fuck them from Gibson (I own a very collectible '67 that I bought new).

That sort of thing is what The Lacey Act was enacted to stop. But it was never intended to rely on faceless unelected bureaucrats interpreting foreign law to then use their opinion against a U.S. company. There is no interpretation needed when it comes to elephant tusks, and other things The Lacey Act was written to cover. The way the law is being used against Gibson is an abuse of the law. It is also an extremely stupid time to pick to abuse the law. With unemployment in the U.S. stuck at 9% and above almost the entire period of time Obama has been in the White House it makes no sense for the administration to tell a manufacturer to outsource jobs to India. The bureaucrat who made the call on this one should have been fired rather than for the administration to tell Gibson to fire their employees and relocate to India if they want to use the exact same wood from the exact same suppliers they have used in the past, and it was never deemed to be illegal before.

This administration is unprofessional, irrational, criminal and rudderless. Operation Fast and Furious is a perfect example. The operation managed by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms sold approximately 2,000 weapons into Mexico and into the hands of drug cartels. Attorney General Eric Holder lied to a Congressional panel saying that he was only recently told of the operation. On May 3, 2011 Holder said under oath that he was “not sure of the exact date, but I probably heard about Fast and Furious for the first time over the last few weeks.”

By October 3, 2011 Holder’s claim was undermined when CBS News publicized internal Department of Justice documents showing that Holder received briefings about the program as far back as July 5, 2011. Other memos indicate Holder was updated on the deliberate selling of guns to Mexican drug cartels in October and November of 2010.

The current administration sells guns to Mexican drug cartels but at the same time it busts Gibson guitars over what some bureaucrat wrongly defined as being illegal wood. Hundreds, and possibly even thousands, of people, including Americans, have died being shot by the guns the current administration sold to Mexican drug cartels, but to this administration legal wood that was wrongly deemed as being illegal is such a threat that Gibson guitars is raided, twice, at the cost of over $10 million to Gibson, and in the worst recession since The Great Depression with unemployment stuck at 9% and above tells Gibson to outsource it's guitar production to India.

Now the current administration says it is shutting down the sources of medication for many people. This administration, and it's evil minions in Congress, absolutely have to be replaced in the next election.

I'd like to line up all those bastards and blow their heads off. Seriously, I would.
I think a good old fashioned tar and feathering followed by being ridden out of DC on a rail would be sufficient to tell those motherless fucks what the nation really thinks of them.

I said it before the last presidential election, and only now are some people realizing and accepting it, including MANY Democrats, that Obama was not experienced enough to be president, that he was not qualified to be president, that he was a hollow suit, a facade covering a socialist imbecile who wanted to, and is, following in the failed footsteps of the failed socialistic European nations.

Obama, and his ilk, do not understand that the strength of the U.S. has always been the private sector, free market enterprise. Obama and his political pirates believe that the public sector, the government, should oversee and or run as much of the nation as possible, right down to picking which businesses are worthy of 'winning' and which businesses deserve to 'lose.'

Businesses are sitting on trillions of dollars of capital. They could expand, they could hire, they have the needed funds for both, and doing so would perk up the economy greatly. But they will not do either as long as they live in fear of Obama's business strangulating regulatory policies. They will not risk losing trillions of dollars of capital on a socialistic whim or touchy feely whim of Obama's. Obama is anti-business. He has proven himself to be so time and time again.

Obama claimed to care for 'the people' so much that he pressured Congressional Democrats to ram though his ObamaCare, a totally partisan piece of legislation and a totally partisan vote, and claimed it would lower healthcare costs. This year alone, due to ObamaCare, healthcare costs have risen 9%. What is scary is that the overwhelming majority of cost increases are yet to be seen because most of the legislation will not be enacted for another year to two years. When that happens, that is if it is allowed to happen, healthcare costs will skyrocket, and 'the people' Obama claimed to care for enough to demand this Frankenstein's monster legislation be passed for will suffer greatly. The icing on the cake is ObamaCare is costing people their jobs, and will continue to cause others to lose their jobs. Plus, the additional debt burden on the nation could be the straw that breaks Uncle Sam's back.

So, many will suffer in many ways, just as many more will suffer due to Obama shutting down medical marijuana dispensaries. People who are in real need of medication will be denied that medication by Obama.

But Obama still claims he loves 'the people' and loves the nation and is working as hard as he can to do the best that he can to make things better for both. It has become far more than just crystal clear that Obama's best is not good enough for the nation or for it's people.

Campaign contributions have not been flowing into Obama's campaign war chest like they did in his last campaign. He has been struggling to bring in campaign funding. It will be interesting to see if campaign contributions from major pharmaceutical corporations to the Obama campaign have, or yet will, increase over his previous campaign. If so it would be a smoking gun that Obama and major pharmaceutical corporations struck a deal. They provide Obama with increased funding and in return for the donations Obama kills medical marijuana. It is common knowledge that if there will be any medications derived from cannabis that Obama wants it to be totally under the control of both the federal government and major pharmaceutical corporations. The major pharmaceutical corporations would create marijuana based derivatives from marijuana that would be grown by the U.S. Federal Government and purchased from the U.S. Federal Government and major pharmaceutical corporations and only major pharmaceutical corporations would have the legal right to possess marijuana in any form, to research it, create medications and distribute for sale the various medication. The only way that can fully happen is if medicinal marijuana at the State level is killed.

Again, Obama wants his much beloved socialist control and he also wants to pick who 'wins' and who 'loses,' based of course on which he deems to be worthy of 'winning' or losing.' Clearly Obama feels very strongly that medical marijuana patients deserve to 'lose,' as do all those who supply medical marijuana patients with the medication they need.

The madness must end. Obama needs to be replaced in the next election.
