Feedback on my grow closet construction plans

Greetings:

I have been lurking on this site for a while and have acquired what I consider to be a base of knowledge to set up a small grow room. Using Google Drawing, I mocked up the room layout and am hoping to get some expert feedback. Here is a link to the drawing:

Unfortunately, as you will see, my space is limited, but I obviously want to maximize my yield during every grow cycle. Thus, I have set aside a large enough budget that will allow me to purchase good grow equipment. In terms of my actual growing medium / system, I am considering an ebb & flow system, which would allow me to have my reservoir external to the grow closet, thus leaving more space for growing. Ideally, I would like to have as much of a perpetual system as possible, so I can at least maintain my own supply of clones.

VEG ROOM
For the veg room, I was thinking that I could use the T-5 lighting, along with a 2-gallon 6 pot grow system, with the reservoir mounted outside of the room.
FLOWERING ROOM
For the flowering room, I was thinking of a 1000W HID, with a carbon filter attached on one side of the hood and the exhaust on the other side (thus, the air is pulled through the filter before the hood).

Ok, I think I have an adequate plan for ventilation. The grow room would be inside my air conditioner / furnace room, where I can regulate the temperature and humidity quite well. I realize the head space is a major limiting factor to the yield potential, so it seems that pruning to promote horizontal growth would be key, and using a chemical such as "Bush Master" as a last resort to control the height.

With these details in mind, I welcome any suggestions and critical feedback. Also, assuming optimal growing conditions (temperature, humidity, nutrients, etc.), what would you estimate the yield potential for this room? And, if any changes were to be made to the setup, to what extent do you think the changes would affect yield?

Thanks in advance.

yea that looks good

3ftx6ftx6ft veg area is about the same thing i have, and i flower 3 plants at a time, one is on day 1, one 1 month in, and the last, 2 months into flower. i pull close to half pound off each, but i also top the shit outa them so i have like 10 colas+ per plant. i also veg them a lot before i put them in, so they are really big and bushy.

i also have like 9 different nute bottles, buy bugs (worms, lady bugs, rollie pollies) and change out my dirt a lot.

You can do much better my friend!! Just set it up right set it and forget it!! My cola's are starting to sparkle (Flourence) and it really is a feeling you wish everyone felt! I know if you go over the WHOLE grow you will set it up fine.. Basic's...controll over heat and humidity! A.C. a must...3400BTU each 1000 watter Plus heat off of the reflector, ambient,(Northeast 100+ now!) and fan's Co2, ect...Speaking of Co2 is a must for yield's above avg...I use 3 UVB light's suplimental to 1000 watt /blue added, good circulation, manifold to disperse Co2, Good reliable timer's, electrical capacity (amp's 20 min), and a smile are mandatory! Good luck my brother any question's just ask..jack

What do the rollie pollies do?

Would you recommend that beginners use Co2, or develop basic skills and incorporate this at the next stage? I'm prepared to make the up front investment, but I don't want to create an overly complicated system. Should I add that to my priority list, or my wish list when I am more experienced?

Yes you should get a Co2 Boost Bucket..90.00 on line good for one grow...you won't use until 2nd week of flower..no rush...start seed's and grow 10 week's they will be fim'ed and lollypopped you will learn how...it's easy not rocket science it's a weed...maintain schedule and be proactive with grow..ie spray for critter's before they appear before bloom use cal-mg so no deficiency use sns217 for mold and mildew before bloom and NEVER SEE ANY OF THESE PROBLEM'S! problem free grow yield's extra 10% yield....(happy plant's!) grow real life not internet grow's!! INTERNET=take's 4 week's for clone's to root...My world=take's five week's to see root's on clone's and these I pinch off! add another three week's to My world for the clone's...Internet= light as close as you can without plant's cowering!! My world=place light at top of grow space and never move it let the plant's grow into the space. Beginer's can grow awesome plant's! Pay attention to what you see work's pay more attention to what doesn't work! plan well and learn from other's mistake's it doesn't hurt that way!! jack
