I don’t understand the ec at all lol only think I measure is ph levels , I’ve got some pics I’ll post them now

EC is just a unit of measurement for dissolved salts in the nutrient mix.

It’s a type of measurement like PPM or CF.

You can grow in coco without using a strength measurement but it’s rather difficult especially if you’re new

Is that took from the run off ? Or before ? Before I guess ... ppm is for run off right ?

I mix my nutes.

and take readings as I go.

if you’re feeding light enough runoff readings are very rarely accurate enough in coco.

You can see in this picture that my growing platform is raised up off the floor to be able to catch my runoff.

PPM EC CF it’s all a measurement of nutrient strength.

here’s the problem though.

1.0EC = 10CF = 500ppm or = 700ppm depending on the ppm calibration.

Cool. Those say 3.5ml per litre for full strength so start of at 1ml per litre each of a&b. Use the rhizo as stated on the bottle.
That'll be somewhere between 400-500ppm which is perfect for veg.
I never had to ph adjust when I used canna so you might get lucky. Depends what your waters like.
This is what canna website says , n that’s for 120l ? So I neee to add another 120 ml of a n b don’t I lol

you really need to understand ec and get a ec meter before growing hydroponics. i suggest you visit https://www.cocoforcannabis.com/
I’ve done quite a lot of grows but never took that reading I’ve always gone off what canna put out on there site and had my ph right n watered when the pot was light , my yields have been 4-5 oz a pot but the smell has never been right always put that down to drying Cus smell was fine utill then , but I see there a lot more to this and I could be doing a hell of a lot better thanks to all of your inputs

surly the ec reading , should be right if u follow the dose chart from canna though right lol ? Or am I confused again lol

Not necessarily. Because your need to know your source water.

Let’s say for instance my source water is 0.2EC because I live in rural wales.

If I add the EC amount from canna my resulting EC would be 0.2 higher because of my water.

Let’s say you live in an inner city like London. Usually water out of the taps there is between 0.4-0.8EC.

Let’s say you add 0.8EC of Canna A/B that means your new EC would be between 1.2-1.6.

See where knowing the EC before and after can mean.

The higher the tap water EC the more chemicals and salts you already have within the water.
