Newbie here...

I am using Ocean Forest potting soil with Pure Bloom nutes for my plant which are in the 2nd week of flowering. Im currently using minimal nute amounts and feeding everyother time when watering. Should/can I fert everytime?

Every strain will take slightly different nute levels so you'll have to find what your plants will tolerate. Im unaware of this brand but as a rule of thumb, fert every time unless you see any damgage to the leaves which you suspect could be nute burn/lockout, half strenght is good to start but increase if the plant wants it especially 3,4,5 week.

p.s.... Standard for soil growers is ......ORGANIC TEA, during flowering get some BAT GUANO. ....Your plants will glisten with trichomes!!!!

Not sure how long you were potted before soil, but Ocean forest is pre-loaded very hot with nutes. I believe their reccomendation is 30 days before adding fertilizers. I actually made the mistake of using this stuff for transplanting clones before and they struggled with burn. If you have at least a few days between waterings, you can usually get an idea from your plants if they specifically need nutes, or you are pushing them a little hard. If you water more often than say every 3-4 days, I would definitely put plan water rotations in between so you can really monitor. My feeding rotation with General Hydro nutes is water twice with nutes, once without at full strength. But I have like 7 days before waterings. I get a tiny bit of yellowing at my tips when I've over fed, and just skip one extra round of nutes when this happens. Also when I do plain water, I tend to err on the side of caution and water a little extra. Not exactly flushing the plant, but definitely allowing water to flow through evenly on all the holes in the bottom to hopefully wash through some of the salt build up. I use a dedicated shop vac just for vacumming up this extra water, so I dont have to lift heavy pots. I have a pretty good idea how much my plants drink now, so when I'm adding nutes, I actually probably water a little bit light, so there is less cleaning of the saucers.
