Sorry about the quality of the pic. I see quite a distinct V shape at the begging of the node.
Your help would be greatly appreciated : )

I hate to rain, but I am not so sure. If you are talking about the growth left of the stem, that looks green to me. Pistols are white. For that reason I think that might be a new growth shoot. If your looking at what is on the stem and facing the camera, that looks orange. That is the part where the pistols will grow from. I hope it is a female, but I don't see enough to be so sure either way at this point.

I agree its too early to tell and I have no idea why homie on the iphone thinks he sees pre flowers. The plant does not look old enough to show, if its not 3 weeks old. Just wait a few more days its plain as day when it shows and thats a new growth your seeing there.

I've tried to get better pics and my camera is good quality but I just can't get a good shot of what I believe to be pistols. They're growing from three plants so far.
Can anyone tell from the shape of the growing shoot?

You can not tell the sex of a plant by looking at the shape of the growth shoot. If you've got it in a 12/12 light cycle just wait a couple more days. Hint--to get a better pic have you tried holding a magnifier in front of the camera?

She's still a baby so i'm looking for the pre-flowers that are supposed to appear sometime between 1-4 weeks. I've tried the magnifier technique but to no avail unfortunately :P I'll try taking some more shots later today.

Great pic! I'll use that as a reference from now on, thx : ) Do they usually appear based on age or maturity (size).
