For this particular strain do you chop when 85% of the trichomes are milky, 10% amber and 5% clear?

Thanks. I wondered because some people claim not all strains go amber. I don't care about other strains, just this one.
I have grown it a few times but never let it go amber so this run should be interesting.

this strain will go amber quickly, by day 51 i had all 3 stages of amber going on. both phenos.Thanks. I wondered because some people claim not all strains go amber. I don't care about other strains, just this one.

Everyone is saying they're done by 52 days but mine are at about 8 weeks and don't seem to be ready, one is actually looking like its gonna go 10 weeks. I'll put up pics in a minute,they're c99 by female seeds BTW.

i totally agree with you about your plants, those look nice and healthy and chugging right along.
I must have lucked out with a couple fast finishers
they were 90% orange pistils, receded, and swollen calyxs. There was some other guy on another c99 thread who said his takes over 8 weeks, just never saw the pictures.

99% of my pistils are orange with swollen calyxs, but still zero amber trichchrome heads. I have no idea how long they have been flipped but a really long ass time.

Hey is that C99? When did you start? I am growing a similar strain (CH9 Humboldt) that was supposed to finish WAY earlier. However, it is still showing lots of white pistols also. It's been like 12wks.

Yes it got a little warm a few times, yours is looking great though. I'm loving the fox tailing action! Have you been able to look at trichomes? Any ambering up or still mostly clear?

I have a lot of clears, more than cloudy. I seen like one or two ambers. I decreased the lights to 10.5hrs tonight. I am keeping this phenotype Reveg and clones at harvest.
I fed it (MaxiBloom) the other day too for the hell of it. I hope i can get like 1.5 more weeks out of it with just plain water. 3 gallons each time to "flush". It still seems to be growing, i know branches are drooping more with weight now.
Kind of cool to find a strain that you "may" be able to choose when flowering ends by possibly decreasing the light cycle? Especially a high yielder also. I am anxious to see my weight off this. 5 gallon soil (bad soil at that - too much vermiculite) at least 5 zips Just as in comparison to my other plants with the same methods, this one is almost double in yield (depending on density).

Your right.... sorry didn't see the post were they wanted to reveg the plant and keep it ...thought they just wanted it to stop flowering and ripen up since it was flowering for 12 weeks my bad

Even to ripen it. A week would really make it look bad.
I would say do a 24-48 hour dark at the most.

I harvested my female seeds c-99 about three weeks ago, absolutely fantastic....Revegging her right now. I was on 8 weeks and her trichomes were cloudy not amber. Could have gone another week but she sort of stopped growing.
