been lookin to possibly buy some seeds and saw they had feminized seeds but there like 3 times more expensive. I was just wondering if anyone has had experience with them and if there really worth it.

Fem seeds are a little more prone to becoming hermies, so I've read.
(also *think* I heard not to pollinate them for seeds)

I have had mixed results, all the Fem seeds I have grown have indeed been female, then after a month of flower a few decided to go hermie.

yea some times the extra money you spend on ferm seeds (ie. $100 on 15 seeds) might not be worth it compared to if you bought 30 non ferm seeds for $100

so I would have to say , If you can get the non ferm version of that strain for half the price and buy more for the same amount that's the best way to go if your doing a seed to harvest grow but for me I'll chose to pay $100 for 30 seeds insted of paying $100 for 15 seeds

when I first started growing I never used the fems because I didn't want hermies. After a while of fighting with males I tried feminized seeds, and I love them. Never gotten a hermie once yet 100% germination. For my first strain I went with Mazar. It wasn't avalible in feminized back then, but I've heard good things about the feminized version and the high really puts you on your ass, lets you know your smoking some good shit :). Good luck, and Happy Growing!

Theres nothing wrong with males. They make it possible to reproduce strains, and cross-breed (which is something you'll likely want to try at some point in your future, if you stick to growing.)

I would go for the non-fem, and just save the male pollen that is produce by any male plants that come to be (if any come to be!)

Good luck.

yes or if you want you could keep 1 male plant in veg just incase you find a place that you can produce seeds and ake clones off the dad plant

JMHO:

Feminized seeds are useful if you need a large harvest fast. You can expect most of your plants to be straight female, so you can grow many many plants right off the bat without worrying about males.

Here's the kicker. Fem seeds do grow hermies. usually not many, but they happen more often than clones would in a controlled environment =D

If you aren't in a hurry to flower as many plants as possible, i would suggest regular seeds. you can clone the fems to make a larger grow, and you can use males to create seeds from the better females. The seeds you grow will all be slightly different, and some may produce better in your specific setup. Those ones can be bred later (from clones) to help you dial in your strain.

I personally think feminized seeds are a waste of money for most growers. Very expensive, and you can't breed em with predictability.

I've had bad luck with fems. Everytime i've gotten femenized seeds about half were hermie. I'd rather get regular seeds with half males at least they serve a purpose
