Feminized Seeds

A worthwhile investment for someone looking to grow under ten plants, then stop production in about 8 months? On nirvana they're 70 euros.

Just because the seeds are feminized doesn't mean that they will all be girls, they give a higher female rate instead of 50% maybe like 70%.
I may be wrong so let's see what others think...

Depends on where you get them from, some site say to have 90% some sites say the guarantee 100.

I grew some feminized white widow i had 1 male out of 10, on a side not though, I didnt actually like the plants and thought that they grew differently because they were fem seeds, either that or they werent real widow
. either way, i just stick to nirvana regular now.

When I have completely mastered the art of cloning i wont bother with any seeds at all as I have more than enough strains.

Although there are still pleanty out there that i would love to grow.

no joke i know how to make femonized seeds. when you first breed its only 60% chance of female you need to go through 4 generations to achieve 80-90% female to male ratio.

and yes i know what im talking about you little dough boy!

The only way the know to sure that every single one of your plants will turn out female is to clone them. Even using chemical methods femanized seeds aren't 100% sure.

my bad i take the dough this back!

also mogie. you are wrong even if you take a clone it can turn hermie. so that mena s theyre not 100% femal more like 75% female 25% hermie.

a little stress brings out the worst in plants lol no joke

I've seen clones throw a few 'nanners when they are allowed to go past the END of their flower cycle but I've never seen a clone taken from F1 stock hermie mid-cycle and I sure don't know of anyone who takes or passes clones around with hermie traits. They'd be SHOT!!

I won't say it'll never happen..but I have been running gardens from clone stock for over 15 years continuously...and at present I have 12 of the popular *clone only* strains going and none of them have ever hermied on me.

If they did I'd be checking my bloom room for light leaks..and would not be suspecting the gene pool.

cali-high....how long ya been running clones and what clone strains have you ran that you found hermied on you?

good luck

Back on topic somewhat....feminized seeds vary widely on the male/female ratios they offer. They can also be hermie monsters. Many times it depends HOW the feminized seed is produced....either via a chemical alteration of the plant or a change in environment that forces hemamorphiditism.

I've grown a few out...some were better than others. One in particular has hung around for over a year...and is VERY stable. I dropped it from the lineup for awhile but booted it back up (again from fem seed) and it was the EXACT plant I had before.

she has a cherry smell and taste that keep me coming back for more..and her stone is solid and well-weighted.

These pics are from past grows...

good luck
