Feminized vs. Regular Seeds

I understand the obvious in that feminized guarantees you a female plant, while regular gives you a 50/50 shot. I was wondering if there were any advantages to getting regular? My main goal would be to get some seeds and from that batch find the best potential mother plant for future grows. Thanks!

Hard to breed without males

Fems clone fine. I have 4 fems just sprouting as well as 6 regs. As @RM3 said males are required for breeding. I've grown many of both. I had 1 fem show male flowers and it was a holy power fem. Have fun!
