Feminizing with Colloidal Silver Not working?

Hello,
Noob to this forum, not new to growing but trying colloidal silver for feminizing seeds for the first time. I mixed up 30ppm with distilled H2O and started spraying clones as soon as they rooted twice per day for approx. 1 week. Continued spraying for 2 more weeks after changing the light cycle to 12/12. They have started flowering during that 2 weeks but no male pollen sacs? I stopped spraying after approx. 3 weeks total. It's been 10 days now since I stopped spraying and still nothing but female buds...

I started spraying again yesterday? Any recommendations or thoughts? Will they make male flowers eventually or should I just keep spraying until I see male flowers? Increase ppm to 40? 50?

On a side note, is it possible to take a female plant, spray just one section or branch of it with C.S. to make male flowers and then pollenate itself with that pollen to make feminized seeds? Or do you have to use the pollen on a different plant?

Thanks,
SuaveGato

The CS I have used is 50 ppm and works, although I use STS rather than CS lately, it takes only a couple applications rather than every day. I have now switched to growing Regs.

Yes, this is how you create a selfed plant, or S1.

Thank you. I am looking into STS now too... What is "Growing Regs?"

What is "selfed plant". When you pollinate a plant to itself I assume? Thanks.

I meant growing regular seeds rather than feminized. No reason to apply CS or STS if you have a perfectly good male to do the job.

And yes, selfed is when you use CS or STS to feminize just a few branches and then let the plant pollinate itself. This is commonly done to make feminized seeds. Of course a herm will pollinate itself as well, but not desirable.

Thanks! Any thoughts on if my plants will feminize from the scenario above or how to make sure they do SOON...?

I'm planning on following this guy's advice. Also as I understand it, The PPM should be at least 50.

Not every strain will reverse with cs some need sts or a combo of sts and cs if there proper low in ethylene production ie proper sexually stable females maybe try something else op if cs alone dont work

Agreed if you wanna breed or work with it /keep it around longer regs are better if its just for flower only then fems are ok imo

As mentioned above it is strain dependent, it usually works but sometimes they are stubborn. Also agreed with above I think 50ppm is about as low a concentrate as you want to go. There are several very good threads on selfing plants and making fem seeds on RIU, here’s one
