Fox Farm Peace of Mind.
I was going to use Fox Farm this year and discovered our local grange has an organic product with ingredients almost identical to Ocean Forest with the addition of 15% organic chicken manure. They had a special on, buy three 2CF bags and get a free one, so I bought 12 and got four free, for a total cost of $89.88, or $5.62 a bag.

We have a lot of medical and guerrilla growers in my area (Southern Oregon) who favored Fox Farm and the grange people said they can barely keep their product in stock since the word got around. Since Fox Farms is located near us, we figured it was a clever move by the granges.

try mixing a few handfuls of ash from a fire pit into your soil around the area your plants will be. great organic and free way to fertilize along with keeping down ph levels.
I agree with you except about pH. Ash is highly alkaline (makes the pH go up). In fact if you use RO water and add ash and test it'll probably show a pH of >8 or 9!

Outdoor weed (in the ground, not potted) can handle pH up to 9 with no problems or noticeable loss of quality but growth/yield may not be as robust as a lower pH. My well water is 7.25, my amended soil 6.8 and spot tests show overall +/-7.0 pH. It is a.....weed.

Well as you said, your soil is +/- 7~ try jacking it to 9 in the ground or anywhere else and you will have very unhealthy plants. The reason I specified RO water is because there is no buffering from solids in the water so it will spike. The soil is a buffer, but I still wouldn't be pouring water with a pH of 9 with any frequency if I could help it. Luckily I can, I balance it with vinegar if I'm gonna feed with ash water.

the main point was that ash is basic not acidic. :eyesmoke::dunce::eyesmoke:

I just purchased the Blue Mountain Organic Fert line for a total of $35 with shipping off of eBay and my girls seem to be loving it so far. It's cheap and makes them blow up. It's essentially just teas that others put together then bottled and sold so if you don't have the convience of making your own teas, it's readily available. the whole line comes with a bottle for veg, bottle for flower, then a Super Plant Tonic which is a root inoculant and helps your plants when they have nutrient deficiencies, and then it comes with a foliar feed that's supposed to work wonders (I haven't used mine yet), but for the GG, it's inexpensive and easy to mix and use

I was talking about Fox Farm's Peace of Mind plant food. it's used as a top dressing, or can be made into a tea. I put about 1/2 cup around the plant and work it into the top 1" of the soil, and water. feeds for a month.

I can't afford to buy Ocean Forest all of the time so i've been amending the native clay with lime and composted bark, etc.
