fertilizer question need help...?

my outdoor plant is about a month and a half along and i want to start givin it some fertilizer to give it a kick....

i have some stuff sittin around the house it is miracle gro 8-7-6

what is the best fertilizer to use during a vegetative state? and how often should i fertilize?

also what is the best fertilizer to use during flowering?
