Fertilizing Your Seedlings

I’m very much a newbie too but I’ve got 3 very successful grows under my belt 2 indoor 1 outdoor and I’ve basically utilized the “keep it simple stupid “ method. After popping the seeds in a wet paper towel I start the seed and taproot right in the pot I’m growing in, (autos), use fox farm ocean forest soil, water very gently for the first week or two, wait 2-3 weeks and then I go kinda light with nutes using mega-crop. I’ll generally feed every 10-15 days and look at the leaves to determine when / how much water. PH tap water down to 6.0 and just send the whole setup down the road. It’s worked essentially flawless for me and yeah I’m tweaking a few things here and there but overall nothing too crazy and above excellent results.

good luck and more importantly just have fun man- rock on

Basing how a plant looks with the grow lights on is futile. The grow lights will make the plants look a different color than their true color.

If you want an accurate picture of what the plants true color looks like the turn the grow light off and take a picture with your camera flash on.
Here's some more pictures from today.
(With the lights off)

I had just sprayed them with insecticidal soap and a few drops of rosemary oil and Spearmint oil.

Here ya go!

I sprayed my plants with insecticidal soap and a few drops of rosemary and Spearmint oil, because I think it was the beginning of powdery mildew.

Took some photos with the grow lights off.

This is now Day 12.

I've been pHing my Brita filtered water to about 6.3, based on what I've learned from others about optimal pH range for marijuana.

Are you growing in soil? Did you find that 6.o was better?

I wouldn't be putting rosemary and spearmint oil on them.

Hey!
I usually get it as close to 6 as I can but haven’t tried any other PH levels. If i get it to 6.3 to like 5.9 i just send it.
Im using fox farm ocean forest it is a soil yes. In 5 gallon pots.
For my outdoor i barely fertilize i just use a basic tomato fertilizer from lowes in small amounts and very infrequently on the outdoor

5.9 to 6.3 , less lockouts for nutrients?

I will be occasionally, when needed, mix it in with the soap.

Those are the best oils for organic fungicide and pest control of gnats.

IMG_20220320_172603.jpgI'm not planning on applying it very often, but literally had to treat the leaves for powdery mildew.

That's why I got the insecticidal soap and oils. I'll mostly be using the insecticidal soap.☮IMG_20220320_172022.jpg

Plus The the other organic methods like Garden Friendly Fungicide (which I've been using as a soil drench)

I only add a few drops to the insecticidal soap. I mix it in this little sprayer here.IMG_20220320_172213.jpg

And an accurate run off PH is what? FF sucks and has a nasty PH creep due to immature inputs to the bag to satiate your as saw on the web lust. Oh boy.

You will never know what you are dealing with if you never grow a stable controlled grow.
That's not me, that's the other person.

Not sure why you're replying to me.

1/4 tsp sesame oil, 1 tsp non anti bacterial dish soap and a quart of water.
No gnats if not over watered.

I listen to everyone.
My understanding that a better PH range was 6.3 to 6.5 when testing the runoff water.

No need to bounce.
Was afraid you would give me a number for run off. No accurate way to measure it.

I'll give you this. Straight tap water is best until you can read the plant. Then you can play with PH in soils as you see the plants needs show.
After you get your own soil mix and know it? You can then push NPK ratios and forced increases by PH as in hydro. Only alot different in dirt.
Take it slowly. It is a weed. And damn our yards are full of them. HMM??

Using Brita filtered tap water, but yeah.

I did feed them this the other day though based on others advice for seedlings.

Only just yesterday, until then was using Filtered tap water.

You want the minerals in your tap water. And the chlorine sterilizes the surface of your soil. Good and better. Stopping adding things you don't need if you didn't remove them from your source. You have been manipulated to impair yourself in order for you to pay for what you are discarding. How do I explain that. The net is how to go broke trying to grow weed. Not growing pounds for pennies. 003.jpg

Maybe So but I do enjoy my filtered water.
I'd rather drink a Healthier water with potentially less bad things in it.
It doesn't filter out all the chlorine.

My drinking water tastes better and it's safer now, I don't find myself to be manipulated into that, I chose to get the Brita water filter.

Btw, is that your garden?!?:o :leaf: :leaf: :leaf: :weed:
