Few dwc questions

I'll take a note of that maybe it would be better for me to take the cube out and get it rooted and everything out of the bucket and then once it's got roots out side the rockwool put it back in the bucket? Also what do you guys mean by hydroton?

it's not bad to use the rw cube (small). just make sure that there is enough hydroton(pic 1 next to rw cube: small clay balls) to keep it away from the water so it is not constantly soaked. you just want the water breaking into the bottom of the netpot. and then once the roots come out and hit the water, you can drop your water level and watch them grow like crazy

Should I cut this Rockwell cube down some? It's the only one I have atm and the small round plug has a split right down the side of it so I cant just use that...

you talking about the round plug in the center of the cube you have in the pic? if so, use that to start your seed in. then put that in the hydroton. your goal is to get the roots outside of the netpot and into the water the fastest/best way possible

and i agree with an earlier poster. next time (or this time if possible) use a 5 or 6 inch netpot. that thing you have is to grow a tree. way too big.

Once a couple roots hit the nutrient solution in the rez is it time to stop watering? or should you keep watering for a bit for better root development? I'm top watering with rez water every 4 hours (during the day) to promote root growth.

Once roots hit the soup you can stop the top water. It doesn't hurt to do it but it's unneeded then.
