Few questions dudes and dudeets!

Im just starting on week 4 of flowering.
1# When does most bud mass form?
....buds are stacking im just dieing to see that pop.
2# When do i start to add that tsp./gal of molasses?
3# does the 24-48 darkness help before harvest?

Lets hear it folks opinions are like assholes everyone has one.

the most bud mass forms around week 6... usally theres a week 6 explosion as its come to be known... obviously they grow the entire time... but weeks 4-6 have the most significant growth....

use the molases now

the 24-48 hours of dark going into flowering just helps tell the plant its time to start flowering... it helps tell the plant "its time to start flowering", starts the changing of the hormones in the plant from veg to flowering hormones, and speeds the initial set on of flowering.... i do it... i can definatly tell a difference in flowering times... comparitively i would guess it takes 4-7 days off the flowering time... at least thats what ive experienced...

I was asking about 24-48hrs of darkness before harvest.
But i deffently agree that a 24hr darkness cycle speeds up the sexing.
Also can i find Blackstrap at a local store?

grandmas molasses is good at 1 tbsp/gal, as for the dar period, i have tried with and wihtout only cus i thought it increased resin production, and to be honest i really didnt see any difference in my plants, maybe you will have better luck, as for bud mass, the first 4 weeks of flowering this is known as the stretch period, after this you will start seeing girth, dont forget to stop adding nutes 2 weeks before harvest, also another tidbit, when a breeder says its an 8 week strain, take it one week further for the full range of flavors and high

the molases isnt just for resin production... it does help with that i agree... but in soil grows it also feeds the micro organisms in the soil that break down additives and nutes... its a great and inexpensive additive with multiple benefits... and yea.. you should be able to find black strap molases at any grocery store..

How early can you flower a plant?

no i meant the dark period, its supposed to help resin production, and yes your right qbot the feeding of microbes, but it does wonders for flavor

you can use the molasses with every water... watch your ph though.. i know it fucks with that a little... i will do some research in this dark period before harvest... i know going into flowering i give my plants 36 hours of dark to help start the flowering hormone production and help speed up sexing... but i dont know about the 24 hours before harvest and what it may or may not do...

you can flower when you want really... i recommend letting your plants grow 4-5 weeks to reach full maturity first.. then induce flowering... at the point any clones you take off the females can be flowered as soon as they root... if you arent worried about that and want another reason full maturity = bigger yield, better, more potent buds... if you flower before maturity yield will be smaller... potency wont reach its max... and why waste the time growing if you arent gonna get the most out of your girls!?!
