Does anyone use Fox Farm Grow Big and Big Bloom but with a different brand soil?

I'm just looking for an alternative to FF Soil.
Thanks:bigjoint:

yep, with promix, i also add worm castings, 20%.

Sometimes when I''m low on money i dont add the castings, but feed slightly heavier.

Pro mix and light warrior are good soils. If you want to use the nutes also get the Fox Farm Tiger Bloom as FF nutes is a 3 part mix and your missing alot of nutes without the Tiger Bloom which is a bude site trigger to stimulate the plant into flower and make flower sites. Get a good rich soil no nutes and mix it with perlite or verm to make it light and airy. if you want organic check subcools organic mix formula

i just use cheap soil from walmart and the full line of foxfarm nutes. i have never had any problems. i use the big bloom as an enhancement to the grow big and tiger bloom nutes since the big bloom has only trace NPK.

just asking myself this. I have been growing in ocean forest with super soil and some organicare aeration mix.

Next I wanna try some pro mix or sunshine mix. I see at lowes they only have the reg peat moss by premier. It looks the same I think as the BX but without the amendments. I have the perlite and the dolomite and the myco already!

This is great as it is so cheap. 12 dollars plus some earth worm castings for 10 bucks and even though I know not to buy cheap shit to grow this qulaity herb that is awesome for the goods I want.

Then I will amend my soil with blood, bone, kelp, and greensand. Also some batguano for bloom. As far as I can tell this mix is working awesome. Seriously, water only grows the only way to fly now. Lol.

So if anyone knows any probs with the premier peat moss compressed bale by itself and then amending it, please say something.

Well, when adding castings to my mix ( 20%). I add 20% coarse perlite also. I have done it without but prefer this mix. As for the sunshine mix, I don't see difference really till Pro-Mix came out with the BX. So I have used it ever since. Love the stuff, inside and outside.

PS. I used to buy all the ingredients and mix myself. But I find that it's not only easier to buy pro mix but takes up alot less space. As I am VERY limited on that
