FF Ocean Forest too hot for seedlings?

Is Fox Farm Pcean Forest too hot for 1-2 week seedlings?

I wouldn't worry about it. I use it all the time, even starting seeds. seems to work for me. Ps- I voted.

Yes and yuckki too, I always recommend FFOF users add 30% perlite to that mix

it aids aeration, prevents root compaction and reduces any chance of root burn

Went and bought some "starting mix" and put them in that, I did all that before seeing all the new votes and comments. But it's actually probably a good thing because when looking at my ffof in my small pots I noticed a bunch of small bugs crawling in it and they didn't look very plant friendly so I'm glad I had the back up soil.
 
I dunno, I've read that some people have found it's too hot, I used FFOF for two years and I germinate in the substrate, my girls never burned and I have a 100% germ rate across about 20 different plants. So, personally, I do not think it's too hot for seedlings, just don't feed for about 3-4 weeks, the soil is pretty rich and can last a while before you need to add more nutes.
