True that. I watched a side by side and the RO soil killed off 3 seedlings and look at the two that made it, slow and skinny. The FFOF rocks, always has always will. Fast and furious grows. Soon I will post some pics of my Veg ( FFOF soil ) I have a SLH , Rock Lock and The CHurch. They are so lush it's beautiful. I am super stoked.
gotta love that ffof soil.
nice lush plants as always.

now your talking,we all know what you can do in flower.
I would love to see the building blocks of your gals.

i'm using rO rght now will post pics it seems to be doing very well mixed 1bag reg to 1/2bag ro hydro mix and 1/2 block of coco very airated does very well at least it looks like it does development is unreal trich production is crazy this interests me i was going to go to ffof but just got RO's new green field organic which is suposed to be comparable to ffof from what they say i will log and post my findings compared to regular ro i was using. now did you have to deal with any PM through your flower cycle..

Yeah I heard of the 707 a few months ago. Would be nice to see a side by side with 707 and FFOF.
But for now, here is a picture of the Babies. RO in Black and FFOF in white. See how the FFOF soil has bigger starts, well the whole grow was that way. Now that they are in flower, the RO is slow to fill the buds and the FFOF is Kickin ass with density and cola structure

ok nice nice, oh yeah i meant powder mildew and also did you encounter gnats with the ro? RO has a new soil out thats called green fields i believe and it is supposed to be their version of ocean forest from what they say i just put a new GEN in to veg all clones were put in the new stuff i will definitly keep track of the progress and compare to old RO and see if its better, did you mix coco with your soil the ones in flower now are 1 bag reg RO 1/2 bag RO soiless mix and 1/2 block coco coir and the next ones are RO organic stuff green feilds and its mixed 50/50 with coco coir and alittle rainbow mix 5-5-1 with microrizyhme and sprinkled a minute amount on flowering ones but i will post everything asap..

Completely different strains? How can you compare different soils without the same clones from the same mother? Research plant genetics before you start doing tests that prove nothing.

I used Extreme Serene and trinity , very good as a foilar (E.S.) and once a week added to water/nutes. I do not use (any more) the Budda Bloom, HPK, Organism XL. They are like a watered down version. Meaning there just is not enough in them to get the plant running strong, just like their Roots Organic soil. The Organism XL in the blue little containers has like 1/3rd micro nutes compared to Humboldts Micro Maddness. And the Budda Bloom is like all sand. If going Organic try Humboldts line up, if your synthetics, I swear by the Whole Fox Farm Line up, and don't skip out on the trio. My album is 99% Fox Farm grown. All but the recent vegers that is. :leaf:
hey GoldenGanja would you recommend organic roots nutes?

I did not get PM from the soil, and gnats I did get. I used nematodes to take them out. When I took my finding back to the Eugene, Or. Hydro store (RO is Eugene based) they right away started telling me of the 707. Now why would I want to switch from something better than RO to a new RO (707) product that is trying to be as good as FFOF? Please send a link in here or post up, but I would love to see what you come up with.

Just went and looked things over and the 2 plants that are in FFOF are getting frosted nicely, the 2 that are in RO are yet to show any visible trichs. They only have 2 weeks left. Will post final outcome.

have youchecked soil ph? and than also when you water in nutes whats ur ph? same for both? if soils have different ph wouldnt that have quite an effect on the uptake of whatever maybe locked out....

I do not check the soil ph. Being organic and moving more towards TLO it is not necessary. The ph is set per gallon as needed per all plants same needs till the end for sake of the best comparison I can give for my own knowledge and for others to ponder if they wish.
Do stay tuned as the results will be soon and there is a huge difference in ffof planted and RO plants.

Ok, I use FFOF and get great results....but this side by side experiment is moot since you did it from seed and let me explain to you why.

Seeds carry different phenotypes, the fact that the buds are bigger in the FFOF and they're not stretching could simply be that the seeds carried different phenotypes of each characteristic so each plant would of grown the same regardless of the fact they were in different soils.

Thanks for all that, but I have past that stage of learning, none the less I realized that when I started this personal experiment that I decided to share. So far I see 2 DIFF strains in FFOF doing incredibly well compared to their sister strains that are in RO and have lagged from seed and even those I have lost in seedling stage with the RO. I feel I am giving RO a fair try against FFOF and the results are poor with 2 different strains in RO and the ones I lost in seedling stage. You call that MOOT, I call that learning. 2 different strains both doing poor in RO "period"

You know it's more than just the stretching, its bud development, smells, trichs. One must take it all in account. stay tuned for end results and pictures.

I like this answer. One last thing are the buckets the same? Looks like you got 3 different types. I am a little blind so it might just be me. Needed more Specimens.

keep it up GG13,we know that ffof is blasting ro away.
from seed, from clone it realy dose not matter
if the plant not growing its not growing.
not all clones grow the same.
