I think it would be fine as long as there are no other conditions in which could cause stress such as excessive temps or overfertilization.

Not a problem, do it, and it doesn't stress them as much as some people say. Hermies come from stressing during flowering, and then only sometimes, not too sure because I've never had a hermie, and I always top or fim for indoor grows.
