Final chance for the dud

Does anyone have information on the slowest germination. I used paper towel system and have a seed (a k47) that hasn't popped after more than two weeks. give up? I was going to dry if and scarify it as a last resort. Just didn't want to give up. Any thoughts?

It is likely a temp issue if its not a dud.
I tried every method on ~35 seeds with no success after ~2 weeks. Threw them all outside letting them land in 90% clay.
I guess they sprouted ~ 5 days later, in the late winter (March). So about ~20 days is the slowest for me.
I found em stretched and half eaten by aphids on day 8.
They survived only to be stolen.
