Final pruning Yes or No

I’ve topped, supercropped and LST my plants to keep them under a 7’ fence. I’ve got TONS of tops and the plants are super healthy. Edited I get in to flower (it’s close) I’m thinking of removing 25-30% of the secondary tops in hopes for getting more of the plants energy to the bigger stronger tops to make the buds bigger.
I asked this question about 3 weeks ago. But didn’t get much of a Response.

Well I agree your plants look full, If I were you I would just lollipop them (meaning trim branches in the lower part of plant and deep in canopy). Don’t cut the actual tops of the plants. They look great I wouldn’t do much above the bottom / deep canopy of plant personally , Sunshine will get all the tops reaching out. Now if you can’t get any natural wind or air flow, then yeah I would say open her up more but outdoors that should be fine.

They are lollipopped really good, hard to tell from the pic. I live in a windy/breezy area anyway. So they get plenty of airflow.
I’m thinking more along the lines of getting more energy to fewer colas.

Yeah it would be interesting to see what happens.Have you seen some other grows on here, like Ganja Gurls grows and double JJ? Man those ones produce with hundreds of tops . Given the amount of soil you are using, I would be curious to see if this would be more or less efficient. I have seen goos results in one gallon air pots mind you.

I’d suggest after all the effort you put in with training do not remove any tops or branches. If this was indoor that’s a different story you can remove majority of the fan leaves off because indoor grows if done right don’t have pests/infestations. The canopy your plant has developed does more good keeping it healthy and safe then it would to remove what you’ve worked so hard for an extra ounce. Your main colas are only going to get so big because you can’t play god with the sunlight. So it’s about quantity over quality here. There’s tons to learn on outdoor canopy’s and how they benefit the plant, if wait till they’re 4-6 weeks flowering before removing any mature fan leaves. But they’re your ladies do as you wish.

Thanks. I went the defoliation route with good results indoor.
Outdoor I only pick fan leaves that are dead or nearly dead. Basically what I did here was open them up a little bit for better sun penetration and air flow.
I did this several days ago and they’re off and growing vigorously again.

I'm thinking similar, got a couple outdoor, defoliated 2 weeks ago - they'yre bushy again.
Light defol at least - flowering areas have been starting up for a couple of weeks. Main question is - is this good weather to do it in? It unusually warm this weekend here in the UK. Yay or nay!?

Also secondary reason for considering defol is that its more often than not wet/humid here so want to avoid the issues that tight bushes bring with this clime.

Just make sure they’re well hydrated when you do. It’s pretty much in the 28-31C range where I am July -early Sept and we are lucky if it rains in that time.

Right on. Glad they’re growing back even better. I usually trim the underside 6-8 inches up from the soil really heavy so it’s just stalks. Helps air flow and mold once buds get dense. I just starting using some Cannazym to let my roots breath a bit and what a difference over 2 days you can tell roots are happy. I guess some old school growers use peroxide for the same effect.
