Ok people I have been growing will soil for some time now and just ordered myself a bubbleponics system from stealth hydro..........my question to you is will my 1000w hps/mh light be to much for just the bubbleponics 6 slot system im not sure the exact size of it since it hasnt arived yet, but I figured someone could help. Also im new to not planting in soil so if someone who has used this system before could give some guidence. thnks

I dont have any experience with anything other than CFLs but Ive read a few grows that use any from 250, 400 to 1000w hps... there is no such thing as to much light.. but there IS such a thing as to much heat... so as long as your intake/exhaust ventilation is good, and you have some A/C air comming in.. you should be good. With that much light you definitly will want to make sure you cover any possible opening into the res so that no light gets through... that means putting something around the seedlings (paper plate, cardboard cutout) so that the light doesnt find its way through the rockwool and hydroton. Thats all I got though, hopefully another bubblehead can help you out more!! Best of luck and I highly recommend taking lots of pics all the time so that we can help you spot problems before they happen and congratulate you on your succesess.. :)

Thanks growthspurt..............so the bubbleponics is saposed to be here on friday thanks to stealth hydroponics fast shipping. I started to germinate my seeds today so i could have them ready to put in rockwool when the bubbleponics arrives. Another question to you is when using rockwool, do it have to remove the seedling from it to transplant it to the hydroton? or does the rockwool get centered in the cup and eventually disappear?

Once roots start popping through the rockwool then place the rockwool cube in the net pot on top of a 1-2" thick layer of hydroton. Then fill the pot with hydroton. Rockwool doesn't actually disappear, but gets covered with hydroton.
