Finally Getting Frosty

Well after $1100 and three attempts the time has finally come. First I was plagued by a never ending swarm of bugs and once the thick cloud of noxious gas cleared it was my own miscalculation that held me back. I skimped out on the exhaust fan for my 600w and the temperature was just uncontrollable. But after it all here are my lovely ladies, under a 400w MH (haven't gotten my exhaust for my 600w yet). This is White Widow from Joey Seeds I've got some more expensive strains to come just wanted to get some experience under my belt first(good thing too). AN 3 part in Sunshine Advanced Mix #4

Oh BTW I am shooting for these to be done close to the end of this month. Around the 24 or so.

Is your 600w an HPS? That's what is typically used for flowering.

Yes the 600w is an HPS and I wish that was being used now. Unfortunantely I had a set amount of money to spend on my setup and I won't have anymore for a while. I orignally planned on using this 400w MH for veg. Now I'm using it for flower and 6 four foot flourescents to veg with. Just had to make due with what I have for now.

Looking good. I would throw some DAYLIGHT cfl's on top of your 400W MH until you can afford your upgrade. They are cheap. It'll give you some of that red spectrum those little girls need for optimal flowering.

Good call Mauler. I think I'm just gonna make these ladies tough it out though. My next cycle will have to also. I plan on getting that fan in about two months from now.

I'm using a $23/US 6" inline (Lowes) fan to cool my 400W. Tent temps are in the low 70's F. Just a suggestion....

How big is your grow area? Is it a sealed area? Closet? Cabinet? A little 600w shouldn't be throwing that much heat.....

Its 3X4 but only 3X3 is actual grow area. The room that my space is in is already upper 70's. That 600w gets it up in the mid 90s even with the fan I have on it.

What size fan did you have for the 600. This could go into the do's and dont's ya know. Congrats on what you have. SHE LOOKS GOOD.
