Finally Ready For A New Begining

Hi Everyone.
My name is K1ipz and Im from Michigan.I been lurking on this forum for three years and finally made my first step into a new begining.I have no experience in growing at all first hand only from what I been reading for a few years. I just snatched up a 2x4x6.5 grow tent with a 600 hps.Im still debating if purchasing a cooltube for it will be a good investment.I havent pick up beans yet still debating but narrowed my search down to a few strains between two breeders.For the last years or so I read nothing but good things about TGA Subcool.Granddaddy Seeds have just released a new strain called Phantom Cookies I never seen or had anything with Girl Scout Cookies or Grandadday Purp.I just want something with good flavors,smells and potent smoke.I never had Purple Urkle either.Basically I want something with the Bag Appeal of purple and very potent.This is my first grow so I dont wanna do no more than four plants in my space with this light.Any Strains or grow methods will be appreciated.Side note yield is not a factor but I would atleast like to get half a pound with this space and lights for my first grow.
I would l also like to know if there are any good purple strains or purple crosses that can be found in seed form on Attitude Seeds...............

the g daddy doesnt have girlscoutcookies in it it has kens cut of cookies....basically girlscoutcookies is a minty pheno of a cross between...eh idr but it isnt cherry pie like everyone thinks...anywaythat original plant had some beans in it and his cut likely came from those i believe his is called like platinumcookies or something..tga is good smoke fun to grow for sure nice smells from what ive seen on some agent orange but the high wasnt knockout and the yield is supposed to be higher than other tga strains and i wasnt impressed with the yield on the two i ran but they surely werent low yielders just not high either..the querkle is supposed to be a nice high and naturally purpling strain by tga, but its a slow vegger...i hate to be the bearer of bad news but you will not be yielding a half pound off of your first grow in that small of a space.. 2x4 right? first of all you will experience problems on your first grow...unless you have someone holding your hand all the way through you will be lucky to get ANY yield of proper bud let alone a half p..now that said even someone who does have some skills already in a 4x2 under a 600 would yield idk about 6-16 ounces and the top side of that scale is hard to attain...in that size closet you better have some ventilation when flowering if you intend on keeping it closed because it WILL get too hot in their otherwise and for cost effectiveness and to keep things cool you should only veg under flourescents..no reason to use anything more and keep them close to the plants for nice close nodes to maximize your small space...probably can fit 4 respectable plants id say

I know grandaddy purp doesnt have girl scout cookies in them.I was just stating that I wanted some good quality purple and Phantom Cookies was grandaddy purp in a cherry pie girl scout cookie cross.Two strains I want to grow but I would only like to do one because I have no experience at all hands on.I also just finished setting up my tent my bulb heated that tent up to 91 degrees farienheit in less then 45 minutes so tomorrow I wil pick up a cooltube,and hopefully order my seeds

well good luck man...again def use flouros for now no reason to run an hid over vegging plants..and also again lol..phantom cookies is NOT a girl scout cookies cross its cherry pie and g purp the only relation to girl scout cookies cherry pie has is its a grandparent of girl scout cookies so a cross of cherry pie with another made strain x and it was mated with y strain to make gsc so none of the strains on attitude have gsc in them at all in any way...not that i care really it doesnt matter what you call it or the logistics of it just passing the information since most people think gsc is a cherry pie cross....but ya some strains i have personal good experiences with - whiteberry by paradise. white skunk by white label seeds (dont let the cheap price fool ya good shit to run for a first try), cotton candy by delicious seeds, super silver by dinafem even though some people have had subpar results from dinafem the super silver i grew yielded reallllllly well and the smoke was good also.

and ya def your fine on heat until flowering but glad you checked because nothing sucks more than trying to manage hot temps with a full room or waiting for shit to arrive if you dont have a local grow shop...i knew it would get hot in that space under a 600 :bigjoint:

Thanks for the feedback Kermit..I just check my tent again and the temp was at 119 degrees with only three hours in.Good thing is that the Hydroponics store is less that a mile away.All im doing right now is trying to get the room ready before I buy any seeds.I have some bag seeds that I been saving for a while I might give them a go first but I just want some good genetics.I been planning this grow for at least two years and read alot on here and other forums.I also watched so any documentaries and youtube clips its ridiculious.There are a few other strains that I might consider but I been following TGA Subcool since I read his Breeders Diary in HighTimes in 2011 so I said I was going to grow some of his meds first.

well hey its been a long time since my first grow maybe the information is easier to find now and you are starting with proper equipment...guess i cant complain though wound up with about 3 or 4 ounces of decent shit on 18 plants outside in like one square foot of space in some pretty much straight clay with 20-20-20 chem ferts lol so ya im sure you should beat that good luck on a 1/2 p man if you prove me wrong then more power to you!

Thanks again.I just picked up my cooltube and Im about to let the light run for a few hours to test temps.Im still having ahard time on picking a strain.I want something with blue or purple in it but also is potent.I want to try 2-4 plants with 4 week veg or 4-8 with 2 week veg to get my half pound I know this isnt far fetched or impossible for a 1st grow with the equipement I have.Do you have any input on a strain that fits what im looking for?
