I only have grown photo but my buddy did two rounds of auto this summer outdoors. Definitely will do autos outside next year if I do outdoor at all!

Maybe you folks down in the southern tropics like Lethbridge can go photo outdoors. Us folks up on the Edmonchuk tundra are go auto or go froze.

Nice thing about autos is you can flower them in June and July during the longest days under the most intense sun. Helps make up for the short veg period. I've only done a couple this way, but starting them inside in May and putting them out as soon as the last frost has passed means even the longest running auto should be done before September, IE the frost danger zone.
