First 400w HPS Grow! 12/12 from Seed Jack Herer & King Kush! Ionic Nutes! LST'd

i was growing the king kush plant for a few weeks with a mixture of 150w 3k kelvin MH and 150w CMH, then i got a few 400w ballasts and now im using 1 i never used anything more than 150w from the start because i thought it would be too warm, but it basically runs perfect. While the lights on its about 27c and when off its about 19c, its got a 400w Powerplant Super HPS bulb, to cool it im using a 120mm pc fan... and its works wonders ontop of the cabinet is the ballast, contactor, timer, and other plugs and extensions leads mostly in an old computer case. i was using plagron alga bloom for a few weeks, but now im using the ionic set of grow, bloom and boost.

hello, i managed to get the bulb turned around so its now better for light distribution. one of the jack herer seedlings just never made it past the soil (might hav dried out but dont tell anyone), i also changed the fan for circulating air to one from an xbox 360 (dual 60mm) and its on a timer so it runs on and off every 15mins , its not extremely loud but i can hear it, i also have another plant in with them that smells great the temperature stays below 25c cant believe it
i sorta worked out the cause of the brown leaves, i was watering with a 1.5 lt bottle which i thought was 2lt, with ionic nutes u add (7ml-bloom)(1ml-boost) to each litre, so i added 14ml +2ml for the 2lt which was only 1.5 but were all happy now...

thank ive made a minature DWC unit which im going to try with 2 bagseed i just need a little bit more space. i plan on getting a canvas wardrobe to get a bit more space... but thats for the future

has anyone every went back down the wattages(from 400w to 250w), did you notice any significant difference or slowed growth, this 400w light seems a little overKill and im not really getting the full use from it in such a small space(i still Love it , originally i went to buy a 250w light (i seen it and went Fukk thats big and the fool didnt even know it was 400w, so i bought 2 anyway for future purposes + 1 more question, does anyone know if Ionic soil nutrients could be used with a mini DWC or SWC grow, i finally got things moved around and the minature DWC unit fits in but i dont really want to buy another set of nutrients but the boost i have now will work with it ok

I can't tell you how 250w compares with 400 but I chose the 250 due to heat concerns and I love it. It flowers 3 plants just fine! I am also considering a canvas wardrobe -- but are they gon'na catch fire???

i dont think they would catch fire unless a bad mistake gets made the ones i looked at, have enough room inside that the bulb and warm parts are away from the canvas walls. but if i swap to one i will need to start using ducting to direct my airflow more, i am so surprised that this 400w runs so cool in here, i had problems at the start cooling a 150w MH

Good news to come... the kings kush plant is budding away and looks excellent, now i only have 2 jack herer plants (gave the smallest away)... they both look excellent but one has grow alot more than the other. they have both been LST'd from the start and all show excellent signs of loving it i will post new pics up soon, and ye shall all love them as much as i do

thanks, i think i was giving the plant a little too much nutrients because some leaves went crispy at the tip, but now the plant is being flushed with just water, in a week i might try and get some molasses to add... but later tonight i will add more detailed pics, of the THC and some Bud shots

The wait is finally over the King Kush plant has been harvested and is drying and looks GREAT!!!
